I can only imagine how hard it was trying to re-use the pins. I but Glenn and Marko could help you source some pins. You did a fine job indeed and I hope to see it more in the future:thumbup::thumbup:

Bob - That is some gorgeous Ebony on that HJ my friend. :thumbup:

Talk about character. The covers are so warm and inviting Ron. :thumbup::cool:

I just received a new Buck 303 in classic black. As with all new knives, it went into my pocket and will likely be my daily carry for a spell till I get the feel of it and know the strengths and weaknesses of the design.

I carried a Camillus-made Buck 303 daily for over a decade as a young man. So this is somewhat of a time warp for my brain. I still have the Camillus 303, but I think I like this new 303 better. Time will tell.

Really like those Bone handled Camillus jewels Ron !!! It is great to see that one again !!

Sears Craftsman Utility/Scout knife, notice the lack of punch reamer and the addition of an extra blade. Personally I like this configuration the can opener is very capable of punchin' a hole in leather and the extra blade to me would seem more valuable.

I hope to hear your report in the future. I only own a Buck 55 at this point, but I'm very interested in the 303 and 309. My 55 is easily in the top 3 of Hours in Pocket out of my collection, so I'm thinking that a Cadet or Companion would be lovely additions to steal some pocket time.

No punch? :eek: Blasphemy! :grumpy:

Had this one in my pocket this afternoon.

As I worked on this one.
Just a little clean up and final sharpening then it is off to David Seward for leather.

Looks like a beautiful Old Catt with some Indian Trails !!! Am I correct Gevo ?
If so , what number do you show ?

Harry

You are absolutely correct and the number is 21899 with a C under the number. If it comes up in your catalog I would love to hear what you see! Thank you in advance!!

Chris ... the FFG and the full tapered spine work real good with that handle shape. Thats a good one. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Wow Chris, that looks great. I love how a tapered tang really shows off the stock thickness. I like your maker's mark as well! That will make a great all around knife.

This is my first time posting in the traditional section but I carry a traditional in my coin pocket as a secondary nearly everyday. It was my new Coyote from the exchange today.

Thanks Jake. I forged this one out of 1/4"x1" 80CrV2. When I forge a tapered tang I forge the tapers, distal and tang, the bevels and profile as close to final shape as I can. I just don't enjoy standing at the grinder any more than necessary. I used cocobolo for the handle.

That is some gorgeous bone!

Ol' Huckleberry today :)

IMO those spear huckleberry boys knives are some of the classiest looking knives GEC makes.

I decided to carry Number 10 today.

Did not find a 21899 , but did find a 22899 Which they show as a Balloon Jack .
Per their Codes :
2 = 2 Blades
1 = 1 Bolster
89 = Balloon Jack
9 = Bone , Rogers Jigging
The C after the Code Number signifies a Clip Blade

The picture in their catalogue of the 22899 shows a thin rectangular shield .

Congratulations and welcome to both the porch and the Clan of the Coyote. You may find those little buggers are strangely addictive as they take up permanent residence in your watch pocket. Don't fear, there is help available. ;)

Your blackwood 'yote is a beaut, makes me want to add one to the fam (even as a camo acrylic one is en route).
