What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Congratulations and welcome to both the porch and the Clan of the Coyote. You may find those little buggers are strangely addictive as they take up permanent residence in your watch pocket. Don't fear, there is help available. ;)

Your blackwood 'yote is a beaut, makes me want to add one to the fam (even as a camo acrylic one is en route).

Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, I fear I might be hooked on them already. Yours in camel bone is a real looker and I wouldn't mind having one in green micarta as well. This is my first GEC and I'm already deciding which to purchase next, probably a Beagle or Barlow of some sort.

Did not find a 21899 , but did find a 22899 Which they show as a Balloon Jack .
Per their Codes :
2 = 2 Blades
1 = 1 Bolster
89 = Balloon Jack
9 = Bone , Rogers Jigging
The C after the Code Number signifies a Clip Blade

The picture in their catalogue of the 22899 shows a thin rectangular shield .

Thank you so much for looking that up for me, Harry! Greatly appreciated. Very interesting...hummmm

The "lolly scramble" is already going on for the #14 TC Barlows, which upsets me greatly because I didn't even see preorders being taken on any of the sites I frequent (including one that is held in great regard here). I only got back one answer from my inquiries out of any dealer (the same highly-regarded one, which restored a little of my faith that they'd at least answer when everyone else didn't care to) and found out that it's likely I missed out on the #14 Barlow after all. This is exactly how it happened with the #98, too. With the #77s coming later this year it's not a total loss but lately it seems like GEC goes into slumber and then releases 2-3 sought-after patterns in a row, muddying the waters for people who might not have unlimited disposable income. :o

Beautiful Ron :thumbup:

Scored this yesterday at a Rib Burnoff. I think I"ll be carrying it for awhile.

Great score Doc :thumbup:

Stellar work Chris, you did a fantastic job there, very skillful :thumbup: Nice design too, lovely clean lines, I look forward to seeing more of this one :thumbup:

Here's me today :) Have a great week everyone :thumbup:

Haven't seen that Radio in a while Jack, looking good! Here's the Westinghouse Dowell. Eventually, the whole knife will turn that orange color from exposure to the elements.

This Robeson belonged to my wife's grandfather and sat unused in a box for probably many decades. It's not fancy but it takes and holds a wicked edge and has the walk and talk of a brand new high end knife.

Thanks Jake, I have to put it under lock and key every now and then, otherwise I'd never carry anything else! ;) :D :thumbup: Great to see your Dowell again, I love the colours of the micarta, absolutely beautiful :thumbup:

Looks good to me :) :thumbup:

I'll say more later :)

Please do. That's the closest approximation to the old Case red bone that I've seen yet. Is it just a chestnut dye job with a large color gradient or is it meant to be deep red? Fantastic teardrop!

The Barlow bug bites hard.

Rick Menefee trapper along with a Tad Lynch damascus and Koa gentlemens bowie in a sheath that David Seward made, David just finished the belt carrier in full quill ostrich. Allows for better carry options.

I'm off to see ADEE and ScruffUK early in the morning, with a bag full of folders, and this in my pocket :)

Green looks so good on a knife. (Well perhaps not my CASE sour apple bone Wharncliffe Trapper, looks like algae!)
