Great pics everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend

Cool pair today Jack . Although this pic made me really hungry :).

...

Thanks Tom, it's making me quite hungry again myself now! :D ;) That's a really nice custom

Jack
A pleasure to see you carries today. The Joseph Haywood has that certain something...je ne sais quoa

Thanks Gev, it was a gift from our friend Stephen 'Old & In The Way', a really nicely-made old knife I think :) Something which fascinates me about it is that it has a flaring blade-well, which widens as it runs away from the tang end of the knife. I know that was once a common feature on Sheffield knives, but I've still not discovered why it was used, or precisely when it fell out of use.

Thanks, Jack. And thanks for the Nina Simone recommendation! No thanks, however, for inspiring me to spend far too much time last night (when I should have been getting much-needed beauty sleep) comparing various covers of "I Put a Spell on You"! I've heard the Creedance Clearwater Revival version most often (with the 1960s obligatory instrumental jam in the middle), and there was a Joe Cocker version that I'm willing to bet had Clapton doing a fine job on lead guitar.

You're welcome my friend :o :D ;) I don't know if you know, but Joe was a Sheffield lad. When I was a teenager, I had older friends who had known him before he hit the big time.

Quite an aged, august pair, Jack! The reddish stag is awe-inspiring!

On kitchen duty for me this week are a GEC 85 and a JJ Martinez navaja de campaña:

Thanks again GT, your kitchen knives are both outstanding

Whoa! Congratulations Jake!

Today's pocketful was the same as yesterday's with one addition (procured solely due to the browbeating by one Jack Black:

Nice new addition TB, please let me know how you find the pattern  I like your flash giveaway, and am intrigued. Like you, I have certainly had more bites while taking pics of knives than I ever have using them! :D Logic says the Stockman, but I have to put my money on r8shell, and say your new Lambsfoot! ;)

Really enjoying all your pics, have a great time at the cabin

Smashing MOP Gev :)

Great pic and line-up, lovely old Barlow

Lambsfoot again for me today. Really enjoying this one.

Good stuff my friend, we'll have to start a Lambsfoot Brother/Sisterhood! :D (I just looked up the collective noun for a group of shepherds, but it might be better to avoid that one! :D)

I had my Lambsfoot with me on a walk along a section of Huddersfield canal today...

And my Appeydale Jack ;)

Don't worry Rey, I used a paring knife from the kitchen to extract this one! Kerry Hampton 3.5" Wharncliffe in some awesome stag. (#0)

Nice one Jake, what frame did Kerry use? I owned a couple of Kerry's knives, he builds a great one. One of these days he might remember he's supposed make me another one.

Jack
Thanks for the compliment, my friend. Stephen is missed. Interesting points about the well. Thanks for opening my eyes to it.

The MOP on my old carry really is super. Thanks again.

My baby's TC again today. It's her first day at the cabin!

I'll echo the others saying CONGRATS!
I am quite envious of your trip to the cabbin. That Barlow also creates a bit of envy...

Great triplet Dean! Those 66s become more and more enticing every time you post yours.

Eureka!!

Those bare headed eurekas sure are stunners. I carried my amber bone yesterday, but after seeing that fine knife I find myself wanting to run upstairs and throw it back in the pocket.

I don't carry this guy very often anymore. It wasn't that long ago where a day wouldn't go by with out pocketing it.

Thanks, Erik. That 66 is really growing on me. Looks like it will be my knife for the summer. I'm not carrying my ebony Presidential until blue jean weather returns. That's another knife that caught me out of the blue. I think my attraction to the Presidential started with your posts of your excellently patina'd one. Soooo, go get a 66. :)

Closest that I've got to a red, white, and blue knife: Navy with red shield Mini Copperhead. Go Ford! Beat Ferrari!

Haha, I'll add it to that long ever growing list of "must buys".
It just so happened to be blue jean weather today. That was my main reason for slipping it in the pocket.

I love how this micarta is developing character the more I carry it - please forgive the quick and dirty at-work picture:

Comeuppance, that natural micarta ages real nice. No apology needed for a dirty pic, looks great to me!
