Don't worry Rey, I used a paring knife from the kitchen to extract this one! Kerry Hampton 3.5" Wharncliffe in some awesome stag. (#0)

...
Congrats, Jake, that is amazing stag!!
Thanks GT !
...
Really liking your 85 and JJ
My Barlo does look like your Sodbuster a lot .
...
Thanks, TheFactor.
GT, I'm starting to see just what you mean! There's stuff EVERYWHERE.
...

But, seriously, it's worth all of those minor annoyances!
Super duper 85, GT! Buffalo?
Gary
Thank you and that 85 is awesome!
...
Thanks, Dean and Gev. That 85 is a generous gift from Paul H; it's buffalo, and Paul turned the secondary into a coping blade, and I think did the EO notch himself, too. Kind of a grail knife for me!
...
I went with a Schrade 980T and a Vic Economy today.
...
Ken K.
Compelling couple, Ken!

Not sure I'm familiar with the Economy; is that the entire line of Vics produced with different (nylon?) covers?
Early days yet, but my immediate thought is that the spring tension on the 26 is ridiculous, anyone with weaker nails should only attempt with a blade key! I like it though, I like the pebble-like roundness of its very enthusiastic wharncliffe when closed in hand. Early whittling trials have proved successful too
...
Thanks for your review, Paul. I sure like the sleeveboard shape and blades at both ends, but I'm not enthused about fighting with the blades over opening and closing!
This on Friday, and this today Saturday.
Tapping the Birches
Captivating pic, Will!
Beautiful, but it makes me miss
pertinux. Where has she been, anyway?
...
Today's pocketful was the same as yesterday's with one addition (procured solely due to the browbeating by one
Jack Black:

...
Good luck!
I miss lots of folks who were once "regulars" and then kind of disappeared, but I suppose The Porch is like 21st century life in general, with lots of comings and goings.

Congrats on the new Wright lambsfoot, TB! What covers did you get? The buffalo handles seem quite popular recently, but from the perspective of that photo, I'd almost swear I see some kind of jigging!

(BTW, I'll bet you got nipped playing with undomesticated coyotes - you're old enough to know better, young man!)
...
This Boker for me today, just arrived yesterday and I can not find any fault with it at all. No gaps, wonderful transition from covers to bolsters, no play in any of the blades. I'm very impressed
...
...
Brushed nickel silver bolsters, BEAUTIFUL Beer Barrel Wood covers (I love them) no gaps, radiused in all aspects, solid carbon blades. ...
Congrats on the beer barrel Böker, Paul; your pics are fantastic, as usual!! I've looked at that beer barrel congress many times, but after seeing your photos and reading your testimonial, I may have to get off the fence!
Pictures..... well, since you insist....
What are we having for dinner?
Remind me never to play poker with you since you're not afraid to call someone's bluff!

Here's a shot of my knife-related pocket contents from this week:
As for dinner, this week it's been mostly salad: romaine lettuce, traffic signal peppers (red, yellow, green), carrots, broccoli, apple, grapes, celery, peanuts, and maybe shredded cheese, with either garlic ranch dressing or just cold pork&beans for dressing!
...
StoneBeard, that knife is sweeter than honey, it's the bees' knees!
Thanks guys! We're tired but so happy!
 Beautiful cabin, too!
Today, I decided to carry three knives (to follow the example of, but not surpass
GT, the multi-carry champion).
In recognition of
Paul's fantastic new Boker Congress, I'm carrying mine (different handle materials - and older).
And to emulate, but not outdo,
Dadpool's pulp novel background, I snapped one of the Boker on a Tom Swift book.
Finally, to honor the contributions of three cities (Sheffield, Solingen and Titusville) to pocket cutlery I have one from each city.
What a superb, meaningful trio, Dean! Be careful: 3 knives today can easily lead to a dozen next week!

(I wanted to come up with an appropriate Swifty involving threes, but I'm apparently out of practice. All I could come up with is, "You swung at all 3 pitches and missed them all," Tom said strikingly.)
Scout Saturday.
Bob and Kperla, those are fantastic knives!! Both beautiful brown bombers!!
Lambsfoot again for me today. Really enjoying this one.
I'm enjoying your showing off the different aspects of your buffalo horn, depending on the lighting! Very cool, Greg!
...
You're welcome my friend

I don't know if you know, but Joe was a Sheffield lad. When I was a teenager, I had older friends who had known him before he hit the big time.
...
Thanks again GT, your kitchen knives are both outstanding
...
Good stuff my friend, we'll have to start a Lambsfoot Brother/Sisterhood!

(I just looked up the collective noun for a group of shepherds, but it might be better to avoid that one!

)
I had my Lambsfoot with me on a walk along a section of Huddersfield canal today...
And my Appeydale Jack
Thanks, Jack, for the Joe Cocker background (news to me) and the knife compliment. Of course, I was compelled to look up the collective noun for shepherds and found it in a list whose veracity seems questionable to me!
What a dynamic duo you're carrying!
...
I don't carry this guy very often anymore. It wasn't that long ago where a day wouldn't go by with out pocketing it.
Say it ain't so, Erik!

Still a ravishing knife! (I appreciated your posts in that "flipping thread" that exploded overnight.)
Here you go. It's actually a 6347 made in 1985. A fantastic knife!

...
Gorgeous knife!! (IMHO, we don't need no stinking filters!

)
The alarm showed me no mercy at 4:30 this morning.

I have had this Montana Workhorse in my pocket today. I love the heft and solid feel this whittler has.

And, how about that jigging?
Wonderful Workhorse, Ron!!
Early Father's Day gift , since I work tomorrow! Schrade SC505 SS scrimshaw on delrin, 1988 is what she tells me. I hope no subliminal message with the skunk.
Congrats, Steve, and Happy Father's Day to you and all the other fathers on The Porch!

That is scrumptious Schrade scrimshaw!
My apologies for the lateness of my replies, a flat tire slowed me down a bit the last day or so.
...
GT - I suspected that was a hangman's noose, but have been too far removed from my knot tying days

. I am far from an expert at fixed blade knives, but may have marginally more experience than some and pocket-sized versions. This is an absolute joy to me, it melts into my hand when I need it and is the perfect length (for me anyway). It won't replace my city knives, but might be a regular substitute in the hotter months.
Day 2 with my Shaerk little-mini-bush and we are getting along famously

.
Flat tires seem to be much more annoying (but much less frequent) than they were 50 years ago.
Glad you're so geeked about your new Shaerk; I dig that blue and white combo!
This weekend I'm carrying more knives that arrived in my recent buying splurge.
Christmas is only 6 months and 1 week away; are you ready? I am, with a massive Rough Rider holiday canoe:
Halloween is only 4 months and 2 weeks away, but I've got a Black Cat ready for that:
That's not the only animal added to my knifish menagerie; I have a new Kudu and a pack of hounds:
