What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Cool. I've tied them using paracord, but had trouble using leather. I couldn't get the shiny side to lay flat, but decided it was good enough for now. I think I'll carry it tomorrow.

I have no excuse for not having a Case Congress. It solves the one problem I have with the pattern: Blade redundancy.

OK, I have one excuse. Most every time I've seen one in good condition with covers I like it seemed the original owner wanted to finish paying off his mortgage with my money. :o

I have been Totin' some Northwoods Ebony today. :D

I have to say that I don't usually care for northwoods knives but I'm liking that pattern!

^^Nice blades and gotta love a wheel gun [emoji1303]

NICE

Thanks, Jack. :)
It's somewhat ironic that a double shot of dark ebony can actually brighten a day!! ;)

Thank you GT, nice to see your Cudeman :)

Thanks, Jack. That is a fine ebony pair that you choose for today.

I did a little regrind on that fine Queen Sodbuster that I won in that GAW that Neffarious was so generous to hold.

Thanks again Neffarious, I am really liking Queens D2 so far.

Thank you my friend, nice work on that Queen

First fig off the tree this year. #15 in tow but no picture.

I love fresh figs :)

Hey Pete! :)

Ron, that is such a beautiful knife. I can see why you want to have it with you frequently!

Alan, that's a Cowboy's Calf Roper for sure! It looks like a stout handful.

Had these two with me today :)

That's a great photo of your Scratted Barlow, Jack. It's one of my favorites to carry, also. Good to see the Abbeydale again.

What really caught my eye was the newspaper from when the war began and Churchill returning as First Lord of the Admiralty! I just finished reading a well written novelization of the two years between the Munich agreement and the fall of Chamberlain's government. Old newspapers are such a good way to glimpse what was happening back then (as long as you can read through the propaganda). And it only cost a penny.

On it's first Wooden Wednesday, Yellowheart (a Lick Creek Barlow) joined me on my morning hike. Also along for the rest of the day are Raggy (name derived from something Philllll said in the Barlow thread) and my Cocobolo Calf Roper Slim.

Thanks a lot Dean, I've had that pic as my screen-saver for over a year now. It's taken at the dam of the old Abbeydale Scythe Works near Sheffield (a World Heritage Site). The owner of the works used a Triskellion mark, like Charlie's, but not quite as nice :)

That sounds like a good read my friend. I am still amazed at the regularity with which I come across old war-time newspapers here, they're always an interesting read

Those are three really special knives Dean, love your Raggy :)

Hey, it's better than I could do. :D Which is why I limit my lanyards to something like this:
