What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have my daughter's TC Barlow again today. It was her first thunderstorm last night and she loved it (she slept for 3 hours straight!)

I think I will keep it in a pocket today as well. Thank you! Ram's horn looks great.
Jack

Happy Friday to all!

I do not need an ebony #14.....I do not need an ebony #14...........I do not need..........

That scout really makes me look forward to the no-bail Boy's Knife version of the Beer Scout that's coming up.

(Also, I think you really do need an ebony #14. Just sayin'.)

Yes you do... yes you do.... yes you do.... :D

Very nice r8shell! Hey, you know what would look great with those? Have you thought about an ebony #14? :P

You guys are a very bad influence. :D I'm looking at the two blade ebony, and thinking I could convert the pen blade to a little wharncliff. That would really hit the sweet spot between the 09 Esquire and the 15 Scout. I'm really over budget on knives right now, though. :(

Scruff Nice to see your activity lately. Impressed by that array of tools, looks like you could get up to some coppicing, hedging&ditching too. I used to cut Hawthorn hedges, partly by hand and those spikes are no joke, you need gauntlets for that work, but even so...

I share your frustrations over the Lambsfoot, got to say that the two I had from Wright were so badly made that Crapsfoot comes to mind :D

Inspired to carry this linerless horn in your honour as you gave it me. I like it a lot.

Thanks, Will

Hey amigo! Good to hear from you. I didn't recognize your new name.

I've not had the opportunity to turn my hand to any coppicing or hedge laying....as yet.
Sounds like you've been bitten more than once. ;)

It's good to see the wee Pattada again.
Thanks for doing me the honor of carrying it sir.

Have a good weekend.

I'm more interested in your boots - what kind are they? :D

Redwing Beckmans. If they don't break you during the month-long break-in they are incredibly fantastic boots. Made in the USA in the old style with a Goodyear welt, leather footbed, and 2-part sole.

Thanks. Nice, now that I've gone and looked at their website I'm wanting a pair of the Iron Rangers.

Haven't carried this one in a while...

Really good looking TC. How did you get such nice patina on the blades?

Changed it up a bit tonight. I grabbed this Victorinox Cadet out of my work bag. Haven't actually used it in a while.

I like the way those handles look when they are well used.

OK, I have a habit :o ;)

The first step is to recognize you have a habit...

Those two knives are approaching EDC status, Jack. :)

Happy Friday to all!

Hi Rachel. Your ebony knives really look nice. Ebony is a great handle material.

I hear they have ebony 14s in stock at some places; but then you don't need one. I did order one; I'm interested is seeing just how light it will be. I can't wait to get mine...:)

I'm carrying a pair of 14s today. GEC is doing a good job with these. I'm looking forward to when the 2-bladed versions come out.

I hope all have a good weekend!

When you're right, you're right, Ron! :D
That bloodwood 85 is a beauty! You have a LOT of gorgeous wood handles, Ron; how do you maintain them? (Oil, wax, furniture polish, extra fine sandpaper, tack cloth, ... ?)

Thank you Gary. :) The only one of my wooden handle knives that I have ever done anything to was my Beaver Tail in Jigged Wenge Wood. It was looking a little dry so I put some mineral oil on it. Perked it right up! Love this one!

This red soup for me today, it sat way to long...

OK, I have a habit :o ;)

Jack - It seems like I heard somewhere that the 1st step to a cure was admitting you have a problem!:D I think you have "Lambfootitis" and it must be catching! I have a new A Wright large in Rosewood on the way from across the pond!:D:D But this one was tagging along today!

Thanks a lot guys :D  It definitely sounds like you're infected Ron! :D Look forward to seeing your Rosewood Lambsfoot

I'm loving those A. Wright lambsfeet. I may be next. Now to decide on rosewood or ebony.

I've been collecting GEC's for a while, but this is my first Case of any sort. 11031-SH

It looks like a large version of the GEC #25
