Those two look great together Ron

I have these pocketed today :)

Haven't posted in this thread since last Thursday. So many fabulous knives since then; so little time to comment on all those that deserve recognition. I'll just include some kind of personal greatest hits list since last Thursday.

today, the Opinel No.8 Garden Knife...
2rm1en4.jpg
Recently got one of those myself; when it comes to slicing, that Garden Knife is aces!

Toasty, tasty Böker stag copperhead!

Carried my Old Russell and my 1975 Commemorative Schrade made Russell to the YMCA and then coffee with our friends
...
And then found this Remington . My first Remington too .
...
Then when we get home the 14 is in the mail box.
...
Then I had full pockets for the rest of the day.

Harry
Congrats on the new acquisitions, Harry; I especially like that Remington! Very cool shield!

The capable Castor performed like a champion with its newly razored edge:D

Your Castor certainly looks like a champion, Gev!

...
This red soup for me today, it sat way to long...

Terrific Crimson Barlow, Paul! (I like the coloring of the decking it's on, too.)

Happy Friday to all!

I do not need an ebony #14.....I do not need an ebony #14...........I do not need..........
Both black beauties, r8shell! Those ebony Esquires are exquisite!

It went straight into my pocket!

What a wondrous whittler you won, FBC; congrats!!

Thank you Gary. :) The only one of my wooden handle knives that I have ever done anything to was my Beaver Tail in Jigged Wenge Wood. It was looking a little dry so I put some mineral oil on it. Perked it right up! Love this one!...
Thanks for the advice, Ron. :) I had the same experience you did with an olive wood Joker; guess I'll keep using mineral oil on wood!

Bit of a list to starboard today...

Wow, Dean, your "carry count" seems to be doubling every couple of weeks lately! You'll easily surpass me by the end of the summer!:D Lovely knives!

This, among others. The summer knife thread got me wondering if this is stainless. So far it seems to be.
nKCSOXre
That's a distinctive knife, scrteened porch! Brass handles?

"Come and get me, copper!" (James Cagney's character in White Heat)

...
Sunday's knife is bonnie and blithe.

I like the phrase and the Thoroughly Cheerful knife, Dean!:thumbup:

What a phenomenal photo of a pair of polished, prestigious prizes!!:thumbup:

"Hello there mr. UPS guy, I have been expecting you!"

Finally pulled the trigger on ankermesser (small) with carbon blade and bubinga. Just got delivered to my working place.
Very impressive working blade, and I put it straight to my pocket. :)
Congrats, A.L., on the awesome Ankermesser! (Note to self: Thou shalt not covet. Thou shalt not covet ...)

Trying to catch up after missing a few days due to work, EXCELLENT knives and pics abound over the last 5 pages. Thank you everyone for posting.

Man, I know exactly what you mean, Tom. Always look forward to your daily doubles!!

That's a show-stopper! Mini copperhead??

...

One from Laurent Gaillard for me

Sam
Gorgeous grain on those handles, Sam! What type of wood is that?

Notable pair of Case stockmans, Jeff!! Are they twins? What model(s)?

...
Being I am away this week, mostly in Wensleydale, which has it's own breed of sheep, I decide to keep my Pallares Solsona Navaja Busa in Ram's Horn seemed like the natural choice.

'Well....in the absence or a more 'locally' made offering' he sighed, still pining for a Lambsfoot of his own. :( ;)
Incredible ram horn Spanish knife, scruffuk!

Headed out the door this morning totin' these 2 piano keys.:D

Very nice, Ron ; I'll bet they play a melody you can dance to all day! ;)

Great to see your constant companion again, Jeff!

Last week, I revised my "carry rotation schedule" to incorporate newer knives that hadn't been on the original schedule. (I also experienced mild ridicule from my family for doing so!) Here are some of the knives from Week 1 of the new, expanded schedule.

My very first Beerlow arrived in the mail at the office today in a Trestle Pine Knives box. The Grand Portage still looks a bit odd to me with those big bras bolsters and wharncliffe. But I do love those boxelder covers. Think I'll try to get a little more aquainted.

That's a show-stopper! Mini copperhead??
Yes a more resent release in Crimson Barnboard Jigged bone. The bone covers are phenomenal and the action of the blades have worn in quite nicely -- however the tip of the wharncliffe main is seriously rounded. Some time soon i'll make it pointy. But it's been seeing a lot of pocket time regardless.

Jigged green bone is always one of my favorites. And that canoe is on exhibit why. Very nice, GT.

Today I have my Queen Classic Doctor Knife again. It's such a fun carry and a great conversation piece within the office.

Just starting to really get back into traditionals. I have always had some, but now favoring them more and more.

Carrying these two today. Ulster Boy Scout and a Sodbuster
The Ulster was my uncle's when he was a kid, and I received it when he passed away. He was the one who got me into knives, so it has a lot of meaning to me.
