Sweet combo

 Heaven forbid! I dunno what I'd do if I forgot to bring a knife. How y'all keep your carbon steel so nice and clean looking, I'll never understand.

I dig the contrast of the patina and handles. There's a lotta fire in that bone.

Oh man, I have become a congress lovin' fool this year. I have not tried a GEC congress yet but that will all change for me soon. Anyhow, that Northfield of yours is pure class Paul.

This one here just arrived and I can't set it down. It feels so good in the hand.

I use Flitz and seems to work like a charm. So far no oil has been needed but more time will tell.

Black Cherry looks great, TF!

Heading out to another hot, hot day of work totin' along my TL-29 and SAK Executive.

Shane, that's sure a scintillating scarlet SBJ!

Yes a more resent release in Crimson Barnboard Jigged bone. The bone covers are phenomenal and the action of the blades have worn in quite nicely -- however the tip of the wharncliffe main is seriously rounded. Some time soon i'll make it pointy. But it's been seeing a lot of pocket time regardless.

Jigged green bone is always one of my favorites. And that canoe is on exhibit why. Very nice, GT.

Today I have my Queen Classic Doctor Knife again. It's such a fun carry and a great conversation piece within the office.

Thanks for the additional info on the Case mini copperhead, jrawk! And thanks for the kind words about the H&R canoe; I didn't even know I liked green bone, but it's GREAT green pick bone on my little canoe! I always enjoy seeing your physician's knife, Doc! ;)

Cheers:) they are Bocote
...
Sam
Thanks, Sam; beautiful wood!

Love that no-nonsense Case, Travman (and the photobombing pooch in the background :D)!

Just starting to really get back into traditionals. I have always had some, but now favoring them more and more.

Carrying these two today. Ulster Boy Scout and a Sodbuster
The Ulster was my uncle's when he was a kid, and I received it when he passed away. He was the one who got me into knives, so it has a lot of meaning to me.

Superb Scout and Sodbuster, Elgin! Fantastic that the Ulster is a "family heirloom"!

...
Thanks, GT! I'm able to carry a few more when I'm wearing my 7-pocket cargo shorts. I have been so often tempted to get the Alox Vic Classic - if only it had a toothpick!
...
Raggy and Coco are with me today.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and at least some knife knuts abhor a knifeless pocket! ;)
Dean, how often do you actually use the Vic toothpick? I'm somewhat surprised that I almost never use them. On the other hand, when it comes to the Vic Minichamp, I'm in a situation much like you describe regarding the Classic. The Alox Minichamp really appeals to me, but I don't like the thought of giving up the pen!!
I look forward to the continued adventures of Raggy and Coco!

Early night tonight, early start tomorrow, Going to be carrying these two :)

Distinctive duo, Jack! Do you have any "tricks & tips" regarding care of that grand gray celluloid?

g2TZcRqs

Thanks, 5KQs. It is brass. I have a few Utica advertisers from before they closed the factory store, some of which are obviously seconds, but I can't see anything wrong with this one. It also avoids my pet peeve with senators/Eisenhowers/ equal ends, in that it has a long blade and a short blade rather than a longer blade and a shorter blade and a lot of wasted handle.
Still loving my Russell rancher, and working up the nerve to rehandle my Colonial jack.
Thanks for the additional info about, and photo of, that brass Bud knife, SP! After seeing your rancher photo, I spent some time looking at the A.G. Russell website (found some interesting carbon knives by Roper, but know nothing about them). That's a fantastic clip on your Colonial; what handles do you have in mind?

...
Thank you Gary. A nice Hen & Rooster from Will.
...
Thanks, Ron. :)

MANY Nice Knives posted here recently

A had never carried a Congress but briefly in the past. I tried the Boker with Beer Barrel covers a couple of weeks ago and liked the knife. I then purchased the Primitive Bone Northfield and it arrived today, I really like it:cool:

Congrats on a couple of captivating, cultured congresses, Paul! I especially like the Böker. I like the idea of the congress pattern, especially if it has 3 or 4 different blade shapes, but for some reason I only have one example of my own.

Those ole things..... ;) :)

Thanks GT!

Nice seeing you around. Don't be a stranger. ;)

Your carries are exemplary, as always!
Thanks, GuestWho. :) Most of my knives are kind of low-budget, but I sure like them!

Just got this one! Me like a lot!

Eye-catching edge on your Böker, B&W! What cover material is that?

I was helping my wife set up for a camp she runs today, so this was a much needed tool!
I have a lot of different Vic models, but I think I could get through life quite happily with the iconic Recruit! Nice one, Ernie!

A small pair today

- Paul
Your pair may contain small knives, Paul, but they look powerful; marvelous bone on the Henckels!

Yesterdays.

What a vivid, verdant vista, donn!:thumbup: Who is the maker of that sodbuster?

Nice little knife, Travman, but it's the beans that have captured my attention!!

Here are more of the knives I'm carrying this week (at least Monday thru Friday; I may break free of my schedule and go wild for the weekend :p).

Man, I know exactly what you mean, Tom. Always look forward to your daily doubles!!

A Colt teardrop jack:
umSTHMA.jpg

I know, right?!? There seems to be a surge in traditional knives, at least here, and this quiet corner feels a bit less quiet :).

Great pic of the Colt! Nice detail of the texturing in the handle

Great pair as per usual:D

Thanks Gev!

Carrying a "problem" knife today, the Esky. The "problem" is I find it too pretty to use, and I obsessively keep wiping it off on my shirt :).

That's some cool acrylic Jack....does it have a name?

Agreed, that is rather sweet!

Thanks a lot guys :) It's by William Morton of Sheffield Jake

Nice line-up SP

Thanks Jack. Those 2 are quite nice together as well.

Thanks Ron

Paul - It looks like congress is definitely in session. :)

:D

Distinctive duo, Jack! Do you have any "tricks & tips" regarding care of that grand gray celluloid?

Thanks GT, not really I'm afraid, just keep an eye on it. I have quite a bit of old cell, and haven't really had too many problems  Looks like you've got your pockets full of goodies again :)

Carrying the same knife, but I have to post the pic so that I get the excuse to show off the new slip and lanyard. :D

Something "newish" today. A Camillus C4 from auction. Fortunately, it's in good but used condition, so I don't have any qualms about using the heck out of it.
