What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Had to add some basil to the tomato sauce. Too many tomatoes, so little time.

Haven't been on here in a while, no excuses for that...
I made this knife for myself in memory of my mom who passed away a year ago.
In her younger days she had black hair, thus the reason for my handle choice.

Lovely Mark and even more special with the tribute! I bet she was beautiful! I have a picture of my mother in your younger days right in front of me. Here it is ...

That's a lovely tribute knife, Mark.

And a lovely picture, Gev.

Thanks, GT! The covers on that Joker are a delight. What's the closed length on that guy, if you don't mind me asking?

As far as my combinations go, I currently have 3 Peanuts and 7 Barlows. 21 combinations when I'm fully staffed. Three of my Barlows are in a box that I need to ship to Glennbad, though. I think I need to get a couple more Peanuts so that I can get a full months rotation out of them.

Thanks to Alan (joeradza), I've this peach of a yella RR barlow to pair with my yella peanut!
Shawn, I hope that cheerful, sunny yellow pair can give you a ray of hope down there after the rains. Thanks for the Joker compliment; that little guy is 3.25" closed. Thanks also for the Peanut/Barlow inventory. ;)

...
Sorry mate, I'm gobsmacked because it's the first time I've seen this cover material - only two of these were made amidst the run of barlows Mr Howard put out for the 2008 open house. Isn't it gorgeous! :)
- Paul
No worries, Paul; like I wrote before, I admire your enthusiasm. :D As for those particular acrylic covers, they don't do much for me. But my experience in observing folks' reaction to acrylics is that some people will absolutely love a particular set of covers, and others are quite indifferent/unimpressed. Seems to be more subjective than bone or stag. There's usually quite a consensus on whether a particular knife has amazing stag, but I'll bet there's rarely a consensus on a particular acrylic handle. (I've seen some acrylic that I think is fantastic, but most leaves me lukewarm at best.)

It's my TC New Day again:
Excellent knife, Macchina; I think those New Days with the big speys are very attractive!

The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. Happy walnut wednesday!

"Walnut Wednesday" :p Woo Hoo!!

...
The Kudu wasn't actually a birthday present, just a bit of a joke between Thom and I. We were discussing it by text, and I offered to take it over for him on the train, on the strict understanding I didn't then have to take it back! :D

Thank you GT, you may indeed ;)

Three great-looking knives
...
Thanks for the tang stamp shot, Jack; a tea kettle is what I thought was going to be a griffin or something. :o

Oops, forgot to post today's carry! :o :)

Awesome pair; I'm enjoying your Yorkshire dictionary series, Jack!;)

That is a sophisticated pair, sir!!:thumbup:

Cant seem to get this one out of my pocked Again Today:
Still looking splendid, Scott!

Another acquisition from the trip to Titusville for the Rendezvous - 26 in LVS Abalone.

Congrats, Ken! Have you done one of those group shots with your 26s, a little "pen wheel", perhaps??

...
Thanks, GT! Always good to have a Secretary with you; and a red one at that.
...
I have this pair with me today.

Thanks for the kind words about my red Secretary, Dean. :) With your red spearpoint and your greenish Northwoods, that TC must stand for Turning Christmas!

...
I carried these two today.

A Case Barlow and a Vic Cadet.

Ah that one...yes its an OVB HSB and probably a NYKCo. And with the picture of yours...side by side ...we can be almost certain. The pruner is indeed OVB as well....I just checked. So is the Jenny Lind. Every knife in the pictures is HSB and all probably NYKCo
