Great pics guys

Nice to see you're keeping busy Thom ;)

I'm off out for a wander tomorrow :) Taking these three with me

Thank you, Dean! That TC is outstanding! I was woods walking a few months back and looked in the crag of a tree and saw a camo container. Curiosity got the best of me and I opened it. It had some dinosaur figurines in it and a sign in sheet for those who found it. Very interesting. I have never geo'd but i signed my name and laughed to myself that I happened to find it.

Thanks, Gev, and good show finding a Geocache! You never know what you'll find in the woods. :)

Thanks, Greg. Yosemite is also one of my favorite places. We met up with some friends who had never been to the park and tried to maximize our short visit to allow them to see as much as possible. We spent two days in the valley and then were forced to make the hard decision between Hetch Hetchy and Toulumne Meadows. Unfortunately we didn't get to HH this trip but I hope to head out that way before winter.

Here's a few pics that closed out the trip-

It always surprises me how a simple view of the mountains can awaken my soul. Those marketing campaigns of, "the mountains are calling" ring true. Having a great knife in the pic just adds to the treat.

Ah that one...yes its an OVB HSB and probably a NYKCo. And with the picture of yours...side by side ...we can be almost certain. ...

Gev, what an amazing vintage knife; the color and texture of the bone are so sumptuous!! And Mark's near-twin is also a stunner!

Old Timer Minuteman
Minuteman-3.jpg
What a classic pen knife!

GT I'm digging the covers on that canoe. What are they made of?
LOL! Just a bit more mundane :) Thanks my friend, nice-looking Canoe
...
Thanks, Cball & Jack. They're advertised as "cracked ice celluloid", but given the destructive volatility of the old celluloid covers, I hope that's a misnomer for a more stable modern synthetic of some kind.

Almost always a Barlow of some sort - here's today's...

First time totin' this blue beauty.

Yowza! Congrats on picking up a real eye-catcher!!

Had my 73 in Stag with me to pick some cucumbers :

Harry
Cool photo, Harry. :D Is that coiled cucumber genetically modified??

Today I carried a GEC 92 and a Northwoods Whittler.

Have a terrific evening everyone!

Ken K.
Superb pair, Ken!

Thanks, GT! They call that greenish Northwoods blue camel bone. Always hard to tell; I've seen a lot of black camel bone that looks white!

Nice covers on that RR canoe. I have the congress with the same covers. Pretty fancy duds on those!
...
I went Geocaching in the woods with this one today.

Thanks for the help with colors, Dean; I can tell black from white, but for most other colors, I often use a word with "ish" at the end just to play it safe (greenish, reddish, etc.) Thanks for the nice comment on the RR sawcut bone. I like those covers in general, but I have to admit that the sawcut RR Barlow reminds me of a big beetle or cockroach!

You have Army Guys!!! With him standing there, that flaming TC reminds me of a Tiny Campfire.

Switched it up today. Went a little fancy with the Mammoth ESKY Zulu:
A "little fancy" seems like a massive understatement, Scott!

I like your 3 Musketeers for tomorrow, Jack. Will you wear the hat, too?

I often forget how fast this thread moves. You guys continue to impress and inspire with your great knives.

Two very different #74s, and the two most recent Rendezvous specials, yesterday:

Took my Rifleman with me today. A Rough Rider Canoe with chequered grip, gifted by our good friend Jack Black.

Thanks for the compliments, Cannonball. Whacha carrying today? :)

D'oh! Forgot to post mine. I'm still gaga about the IRJ so I'll continue to spam pictures of it today :) The 22 is acting as back up (my phone has had a hard time focusing on this one for some reason).

Beautiful knife and picture Kenspen!

I've got two of my most beautiful knives on me today, both of which were very generously gifted to me by a pair of exceptional Porch members. Butterbean (Case Butterbean) came from Mike (Crazy Canuck), and Pirouge (Remington Canoe) came from GT (5K Qs). I'm incredibly fortunate to own these beauties. Thank you, Mike and GT!
