What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks GT. And, you are correct: it's a BSA shield. I hope my Totin' Chip is still valid. ;)

I really like that peanut of yours.

That's a lovely Böker, Jack. May I ask the model?

A beauty indeed! Is that a Courthouse Whittler?

Thanks! That's a GEC congress [emoji1417]

What a pair!!!

My daughter's knife and coin (I'm carrying them in the interim):

Thanks Macchina!

Everything about your photo makes me smile. It should have quite the impression on your little one when she's old enough to understand. Something both of y'all can talk about, relate to, and enjoy. :)

That's very kind of you to say, and since you asked, here's a work in progress:

I managed to crack the bone covers around the center pin while trying to do a modification to sit the blade lower. :( It hasn't affected the function any, so this will be a "learning experience" knife to experiment with some different techniques. I really need to order a few more white bone Rough Riders before the Xmas rush. :)

Wow ! Thanks for sharing!! I can't wait to see the finished product . By the way, are your books open ;) :)?

Now, that's some ivory goodness, Dee!:thumbup:

My knives for the day.

Thanks Dean! That TC seems to be right at home in the pocket ;). Nice to see you found one you enjoy .

Your 79 is a very attractive sleeveboard, Ron!

lambertiana and Ron, those are bewitching osage orange 73s!

Gary - Thanks times three my friend! :) A nice trio yourself!

Lovely old Barlow Ron

These two for me today, have a good Friday everyone

Thank you Jack.:) Nice one for you today!

It's almost morning here! The caliber of knives posted here in the past few months has been awesome. No thanks to me but we're seeing a lot of variety beyond GEC, and some great GEC still. The vintage stuff that Jack, Primble, etc. post up is just incredible. I'm really impressed by the Boker and Rough Riders I've seen lately too.

I've been alternating my Fremonts lately..

Nice Fremont!

BIG SHIELD, little shield. :)

A beautiful pair of Fremonts.:thumbup::thumbup:

Bob that Ebony Clip is a classic, simple, do anything kind of knife.:D

Today's carry was Ebony for me as well. :D Hope you all have a blessed weekend! :)

Hay'n Helper

Been tempted on more than one occasion to pick up one of those two-blade Hay'n Helpers, but I haven't yet. Really good looking knife.

Today in the heat with the 71 in pocket

Nice Bull Nose, looks well used! :)

Those Tiny Charlows seem to be proliferating; nice knives, Barrett and CB!

Thanks, GT! They're pretty sweet little knives.

Great pics! That's probably my favorite GEC pattern.

Happy Friday everyone! Got the 72 in Grizzly Cut Bone with me today.

Just wanted to let you know that I had been doing a good job of not buying one of those, but now I've got one on its way to me.

BIG SHIELD, little shield. :)

Beautiful! :D

Nice one, Bob! Gotta love those single clip #15's!

My daughter's knife and coin (I'm carrying them in the interim):

Very cool! I'm assuming you scrimshawed her birth date on there? (I've done a little amateurish scrimshaw on a smooth white bone Rough Rider, but I don't know that I'd have the confidence to do it on a TC!

Carrying this beauty in my equally beautiful "insider pocket slip" from KSF.

Interesting slip! (Be careful going around barefoot, you might be accused of being from Arkansas!) :D

Really nice covers on that one, Tim!

Carrying this #47 around today.

BEAUTIFUL knives Everyone:thumbup:

This wonderful Vintage Ulster stockman for me today. Near full blades, NO play period in any blade. And mind blowing jigging:cool: I'd carry the darn thing even if it didn't have blades because I love the covers so much:o

Was getting late yesterday when it arrived so will try for better pictures soon:thumbup:

Super peach seed on the gem, Paul! Fantastically full blades. I think I hear Duncan oooohing and awwwing..lol

Paul - I can only echo what Gev and Bob have already stated. That is some awesome Jigged bone, but the knife is just super in every way. What a great find you have there my friend!:cool:

Mind blowing jigging is right! Holy cow! That's a beauty Paul.

Gev, Bob and Ron, thank you guys. I had one like this before and it moved onto a better collection than mine but when this one came along I just had to have it. Be well fellas and enjoy your weekend:thumbup:

Paul, that peachseed jigging is stunning! Looks like something Ken Erickson worked his magic on--but vintage.

Gorgeous Ulster, Paul, and yes, the covers are "Wow!", but so are the grinds, especially on that beautiful clip.

A certain grail, congrats!

This olive green cadet is with me always.

Gevonovich my good friend - you heard me loud and Clear - Pauls knife is ( as Paul and I discussed ) obviously a Schrade made knife to utmost fantastically high standards - Paul my friend -..............that is a STUNNING knife my friend..

Very nice knife Paul. The thing that really stands out to me is how the bone handles match so well in their color.

Thank you Robb, I can't quit handling the knife:o no Sharp points to the peach seed at all. It's a bit mesmerizing to me, a bit like a campfire:cool:

Paul, the awesomeness of that Ulster has left me speechless!

Good ol' SAK Cadet today

Thanks Kevin, not sure what that ole tin says but it sure is cool. Gotta love some pocket worn alox;)

Thanks Jeff, I'm taken by the covers but as you say, the grinds are pretty nice also. A golden age of knife making for sure. Like Kevin's pocket worn alox, the same applies to your olive green as well. Plus a wonderful Stockman. No matter what traditional I carry I ALWAYS have an ALOX Soldier on me. It resides in a horizontal sheath so it doesn't get that great worn look to it:(

Gevonovich my good friend - you heard me loud and Clear - Pauls knife is ( as Paul and I discussed ) obviously a Schrade made knife to utmost fantastically high standards - Paul my friend -..............that is a STUNNING knife my friend..

Thank you Duncan, man those old Schrade and the many variations they made of their own and knives for others were simply amazing:cool::thumbup:
