What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Back to back weddings this weekend...
Beer Scout in pocket for both of them.

Dan...the Beer Scout knife is appropriate for any wedding , in fact any gathering I tend to have some type of scout with me. And it gets used!!! Have fun!...especially if you are paying for those weddings.:D:eek:

Another day with the 55 Houndstooth

55, my birth year so I hope that GEC puts out another run of these. Good grain on that, what species wood?

Gentleman carries today

Thx, and-- what a beauty, yours!

Thanks! The coping secondary makes this a perfect knife for me in this size range--one straight edge and one curved. Here's the secondary from the pile side:

Whenever I think of this pattern, I return to Sonneman's #33 and how thoroughly his use and affection belie notions of the refined #33's being delicate:

Up until last week, I resisted adding a Conductor, what with my #33 Whittler being so very fine (it is!) and with a White Owl that ticks many of the same boxes (single spring, similar length, bail). One has to draw lines somewhere. So I've read.

Adding an actual dog to my life has changed my perspective in so many ways(!).

I'm thrilled to now have this little knife and its instant evocation of my little companion and the goodness she brings to my days. :)

I hadn't noticed Sonneman's #33, thanks for reposting that pic. This is a strong knife. Thin, but tough. I can see how that lanyard effectively lengthens the handle for using and provides extra grip and leverage. Mine is for "suit & tie" duty so I keep it thin and minimal, but I can appreciate just how much more capable the "beads" make it "in hand".

And...you didn't think I'd overlook the color palette of your Dog-Paw, did you?;):D Outstanding!! And I love the 3-D effect of the paw-print shield! It really enhances the texture of the jigged bone.

Took Rémy out today to a corgi meetup and brought the faithful serpentine along for the ride.

Well, this is not a phrase you hear everyday I have heard, ever!! I lol-ed!!:D

Here's my Sunday carry, a Northwoods Senator in D2 and Stag:

Thank you Bob and Vaporstang. I wish I could take credit for the character build up on it, but I can't. The previous owner certainly is due that. Came hair popping sharp as well.

@ Jake, WOW Jake what a gem!!! Talk about Sharp, I cut my thumb just scrolling down:D

Seriously gorgeous swages right there, you have BEAUTIFUL knives there buddy. Hope to see you at next year's rendezvous and of course some of your great knives:thumbup:

Thanks Harry and Paul, I have to thank a few friends as well for helping me acquire some really fantastic knives. Thanks Tim, Jordan and Chris!

And Paul, I'd love to make it over to Rendezvous next year. Didn't get the time off of work this year so I might just have to call in sick...cough cough...yep, see, it's starting already!

Europe's oldest West Indian Carnival takes place close to where I live today. Okapi for the house and garden (got blackberries to pick!), #22 for if I go to the Carnival

For a second, I thought you had moved city there Jack  gone down to London's Notting Hill Carnival?:D:D:D
