Here I am again, trying desperately to catch up to this thread after another too-busy week at work and an over-committed weekend. Work promises to be crazy until Christmas, so I may have to revert to reading this thread without actually expressing my admiration for what everyone is carrying. Sigh.
I used Birchwood Casey Super Blue.
Thanks for the info; looks great on your blades!
I've been away from this thread for a little while - 18 pages to catch up on. Missing my daily dose of traditional beauty
Haven't posted here in a while, as I've not changed my carry in almost two weeks. Love this little 14.
Welcome back, Mike; I'm surprised that little guy, superb as it is, could hold your attention so long!
...
Thanks for the kind comments my friend, nice-looking Colt
...
Thanks, Jack. Your Böker copperhead and little Charlow are a nice Friday tandem!
Wow, Gev, that's not my father's Imperial!!
Finally put the Esky out of service (12 weeks everyday).
Despite my beauties that I haven't used and came home to...it was hard to put the Esky up.
I was hard pressed to pick my knife of the week...I 'settled' for this gem. I actually came up with a name for this knife. I haven't done that with other knives, but I did with this one. Have any of you ever named a knife?
Out with the old and in with the new.
...
Fremont Friday should be in full effect today. Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the day.
That's some gorgeous green, HST! What name did you bestow on it? (Not really a knife-namer myself.) Weren't you planning to do some kind of European endurance car rally? Is that what you came home from? If so, how was it??
That is some funky acrylic!!
That's very kind of you to say, and since you asked, here's a work in progress:

...
Nice scrimshaw, r8shell! Looks like a big "canvas" with which to work!
My daughter's knife and coin (I'm carrying them in the interim):
Very cool!
Great carries for this Friday everyone!!!
Fremont with orange cadet.
...
Good ol' SAK Cadet today
...
This olive green cadet is with me always.
...
I really admire the Cadets on parade!
Thanks GT. And, you are correct: it's a BSA shield. I hope my Totin' Chip is still valid.
I really like that peanut of yours.
...
Thanks for the BSA confirmation, Greg; I was never in Scouts, so I don't always recognize the logos and references that are probably second nature for former Boy Scouts. Thanks also for the peanut compliment; that knife was my first Case, my first peanut, and the first time I EVER won a "raffle"-type event, in the first GAW I was eligible to enter as a new BF member (thanks, Cory)!
Elgin, that pair of jacks is certainly a winning hand! The Winchester coffin jack especially grabbed my attention; is that from the fabled "black box" Winchester series?
Gary - Thanks times three my friend!

A nice trio yourself!
...
Today's carry was Ebony for me as well.

Hope you all have a blessed weekend!
Thanks, Ron. That is one superb lambsfoot!!
...
This wonderful Vintage Ulster stockman for me today. Near full blades, NO play period in any blade. And mind blowing jigging

I'd carry the darn thing even if it didn't have blades because I love the covers so much
Was getting late yesterday when it arrived so will try for better pictures soon:thumbup:
...
Unbelievable, Paul!!! The equal end frame on your Ulster stockman is very appealing, and as you note, the jigging (and color IMHO) is outstanding; congrats on a magical find!!
...
I felt like carrying some MOP today, in its purest Shadow form

This Palo Alto still has great W&T

Pairing it with this old TEW Sheepsfoot for Stag Saturday

More stellar covers!! Your pearl/stag combo is impressive, Jack!!
...
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am dropping some stag in my pocket today,
Even more luscious covers!! Sweet stag, Ron; is that a GEC 73?
My addiction has grown stronger. I now buy clothes based on the pockets. I like pants with larger than average watch pockets and shorts that have a zippered pocket on the side.
...

Sadly, I know EXACTLY what you mean!
...
I'm feeling kind of green about having to go into work on this rainy Saturday morning.
Grand green, Shawn! What are the covers on the stockman on the right? It looks sorta like snakewood, but green!?!
Up before the sun this morning firing up the smoker for a BBQ with friends. It turns out that having a lambsfoot in your pocket is very handy when you realize that you've forgotten to remove the thin cardboard advertising wrapper from your new charcoal chimney after you've already lit the newspaper. D'oh!
...
I always enjoy seeing that buffalo lambsfoot, Greg; glad it could help you rectify your chimney situation!
...
Just Raggy along with me today. I needed a lighter carry in all the heat!
Raggy to the rescue!! That TC he's wearing must stand for Totally Cool, or Temperature Control, or Thermal Conductor.
Another satisfying vintage knife, Gev! (The pipe wrench is cool too.)
...
I carried my 22 again today. I noticed that the scales were looking thirsty so today was it's first spa day. Buffed the scales just a little bit and let it soak in some oil for a while. Looks much better.
It may just be the power of suggestion, but I think your Magnum looks even more lustrous than usual, Cball!
...
The girls and I went to a few antique shops today to give mom a break. Couldn't find any knives, but I picked up a couple copper coins for a $1.50 each for the girls. Adalynn calls it her money coin. Hope you all have a good one.
Both knife and money coin are excellent, Brett!
...
The Davison was with me today
Compelling covers, P&G; yowza!
It may not be rare, old, or fancy, but it makes me happy. Picked this one up today.
...
In my opinion, this knife should be in the running for "Best of Show" for the past few days, but my canoe bias is showing through. Congrats on that beauty, b yond!! I have a stag Buck 389 and the "standard" wooden one, but it's exciting to see a jigged bone version of the Buck canoe!!! I've heard that several bone versions are out there, but I haven't found one so far. I can sure see how it would make you happy (and, at least in my experience, it is fairly rare and fancy)! If you have time, I'd sure appreciate hearing where you found it (email or visitor message or whatever works for you.
...
I'm carrying this IXL Serpentine Jack today.
Along with my Davison
Have a great Sunday everyone
Nice ebony and (French) ivory pairing, Jack!
Reaching the end of a good day with the family
- Paul
Wow, is that such a purple knife, or is that a lighting trick?? Very fascinating, Paul!
I'll bet that MAM processed those tomatoes quite efficiently!
Europe's oldest West Indian Carnival takes place close to where I live today. Okapi for the house and garden (got blackberries to pick!), #22 for if I go to the Carnival
Jack, your Carnival knives look good, mon!
...
I'm carrying this Talon for the next century...

Ken K very kindly sent me the Talon along with other fine items, been after one for ages. Ken is Ultra Kool
Regards, Will
Congrats, Will; that Talon looks like it has many talents! Ken certainly is Kool, and you're not so hot yourself!!! (Old Yogi Berra joke; do you know anything about American baseball?)
...
I don't normally carry knives over 3" closed, and when I do, I certainly don't carry two of them. I was feeling a little froggy this morning and decided to jump into the deep end. My pockets are full today!
That is some ravishing red bone, Shawn!!
A little something from our Sheffield connection. Thanks Jack.
Congrats, Bob!! Lambsfoot? Accolades to Jack for his legendary transatlantic generosity!
"You call that a patina, kid?"

I love a fresh edge on old patina.
That KaBar blade is looking phenomenal, r8shell!
Some of the knives I'll carry all week:
"Canoe of the week" honors go to a Schrade-Wostenholm I*XL stag canoe whose serial number is my birthdate (thanks cchu)
"Miscellaneous knife of the week" is a re-handled 2014 Forum knife (thanks, Mark)
"European knife of the week -nonSAK division" is a Laguiole (probably Chinese) I bought in Denia, Spain
- GT
