I know what will be in my pocket as soon as the mailman shows up. A knife that I passed on too often even though I loved its' looks and specs. A Queen #06L in Curly Zebra.

That is a beauty Paul, love the Small Roses Damasteel, performs great. Thanks for sharing.

Have a great weekend Kris, I know I would with that magnificent Chamblin.

Alan

Great knives, Kris. That Damascus is incredible. Looking forward to you posting the Seward.

^^^Yeah, what those guys said. Always enjoy seeing that amazing Chamblin!

Thanks for the kind words, it is a sweet knife, really nice walk and talk and not a chance of blade rub. Gary, I look forward to posting the beauty from Ben in a few weeks, tight ladder damascus, mammoth ivory, zirconium.

Cold start today, expecting snow tomorrow. These two beauty's are with me today,

Hand forged damascus puukko by Pasi Hurttila and a WT by Mike Zscherny,

Whichever I'm carrying has to be one of these, as this is my humble collection of slipjoints/trads.

Just an excuse to post the pics! :D

Carrying this one lately. I gotta tell the story.

So about a week before the great Loisiana flood of 2016, jake posts a few knives for sale. This is one of them. I had recently bought a saddle trapper 74 and a 2012 forum knife. I love double blade clip/wharncliff trappers. I had to have the 48 version. Paid up and he sent it off to me. Was schedule to arrive Monday the 15th.

Well, come Monday the 15th, while I was at work (we had evacuated the night before, when they shut down some pumps near me), and my road was about 8' underwater, and my house had a foot of water in it, we'll, the mail couldn't come. I texted jake (jsega) and let him know "hey man, I won't get that knife today, or maybe this week, so don't worry when you see it hasn't been delivered. I have to gut the house and get that straight but I will get it".

After a few texts back and forth, I see the money I paid him show up back in my account followed shortly by "don't you dare send that back or send the knife back". That from a stranger known only via the porch here and texting about bikes, cars and knives, amazing kinship.

Anyway, she's getting used good, jake! But I am fortunate. I'll hang on to that money awhile to make you happy, just in case I need it, but you gonna get it back. A deal is a deal lol.

The house is going back together. I had professionals dry and treat it. My neighbor is a contractor and already has sheet rock hung. He should start floating Monday. I have insurance so in a couple months it will all have only been a big inconvenience. I am getting a remodel out of the deal lol! But let me tell you that dealing with NFIP sucks. The government has completely screwed up flood insurance. 2.5 weeks since and still not a penny. People without are getting checks already and here I am paying 1100$ a year and can't get shit. Until then, im floating the cost and gonna pay myself back. OK. Done bitching. Lol. Sorry.

SVT, I don't know why, but I thought you were in northern Louisiana. I'm sorry to hear that you got water, man. Quite a few friends and co-workers of mine are fighting the government/insurance companies right now. Take care, man. I'm glad to hear your in a good state of mind about it. That's awesome of JSega, as well. Beautiful 48!

This one is helping me nurse a minor hangover at the local greasy spoon. It is nothing that some ibuprophen and some breakfast can't fix.

Great knives all!

Very nice ScottG and fine choice Jack.

I went to the market this morning and picked up these two. Into the pocket they went.

A nice old PAL Blade Co. and a Vic Spartan with wood scales.
