True to your forum name Kris...excellent looking group and the breakfast of champions.

gent carry today.

In response to the comments about the TL-29. My multi quote is not working for some reason today.
Jack , Thanks, I wish this old TL could tell stories.
Gevo, it's the camera .....and luck.
GT, If my buddy used that knife as a screwdriver, I would have to take it back and sharpen his screwdriver for him:D
I don't know much about the TL-29's but someone told me if it is marked TL-29 that it was military issue. I don't know if that is true or not though.

I had the 55 in my pocket yesterday.

I hope y'all are having a great weekend !

For 15 Friday, found a silver ring I thought I lost 4 years ago in a plastic baggie with some serious patina. Last I remember this ring it was new and shiny.

What a great photo, Tim!:thumbup: Always good to see your (desired by everyone) TC Barlow. :)

Just dashing out the door with these two, have a great weekend everyone

Heading for...

Pretty cool when you can tell everyone where you are going with a tang stamp, Jack!!!:)

Great knife, Bob! I'm carrying mine today, too.

After acting as back up all week the little 22 is back in my pocket riding solo.

What a beauty; I never get tired of seeing it!

Carrying this one lately. I gotta tell the story.

So about a week before the great Loisiana flood of 2016, jake posts a few knives for sale. This is one of them. I had recently bought a saddle trapper 74 and a 2012 forum knife. I love double blade clip/wharncliff trappers. I had to have the 48 version. Paid up and he sent it off to me. Was schedule to arrive Monday the 15th.

Well, come Monday the 15th, while I was at work (we had evacuated the night before, when they shut down some pumps near me), and my road was about 8' underwater, and my house had a foot of water in it, we'll, the mail couldn't come. I texted jake (jsega) and let him know "hey man, I won't get that knife today, or maybe this week, so don't worry when you see it hasn't been delivered. I have to gut the house and get that straight but I will get it".

After a few texts back and forth, I see the money I paid him show up back in my account followed shortly by "don't you dare send that back or send the knife back". That from a stranger known only via the porch here and texting about bikes, cars and knives, amazing kinship.

Anyway, she's getting used good, jake! But I am fortunate. I'll hang on to that money awhile to make you happy, just in case I need it, but you gonna get it back. A deal is a deal lol.

The house is going back together. I had professionals dry and treat it. My neighbor is a contractor and already has sheet rock hung. He should start floating Monday. I have insurance so in a couple months it will all have only been a big inconvenience. I am getting a remodel out of the deal lol! But let me tell you that dealing with NFIP sucks. The government has completely screwed up flood insurance. 2.5 weeks since and still not a penny. People without are getting checks already and here I am paying 1100$ a year and can't get shit. Until then, im floating the cost and gonna pay myself back. OK. Done bitching. Lol. Sorry.

Great looking knife and another example of friendship on the Porch (Good job, Jake!). I hope all works out well for your remodel and you get your insurance payment soon!!!

I had the 55 in my pocket yesterday.

Beautiful bone on that one.

Today I'm carrying a full loadout (think GT on a light day :D). Case XX USA era stag stockman and walnut sheepfoot, my daily TC and an early 20th century Simmons Hardware stag pen knife.

Thanks R8shell. I still like your GS knife and especially the story behind it. ;) Whatcha making?

I'm trying to remember. I took that picture when I first got it. I was trying out all the tools, and the can opener worked like a charm. Let's see: canned olives, fennel, balsamic vinegar, probably attempting Italian meatballs & salad...

...now I'm hungry.

Your pockets are a happy place haven for cutlery today. GT has taught you well. Though, I think you have room for one or two more.  ;) :p :) :D

A crumpled up brown paper bag underneath it? :D:thumbup:

Hahahaha..... that brought on a uncontrollable giggle. Good one, Bob! :p

Excellent carry choices Dean.

Thank you, Bob!

Bob, I'd have to agree with Dee. Good thing I finished eating or I would have snorted my lunch through my nose.

I've been totin' this one for the last few days, and it's great!
