What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These 2 for a Labor Day get together. The 99 is my go to for food and the 33 just because.

Well done everyone!

Thanks for the comment Gary. The wood SAK's feel great in hand. Nice looking Joker as well.

Great Boy's knife Paul.

Today I'm carrying a Davy Crockett Imperial and a Vic stamped Elinonx from around 73/75.

Have a good one!

Great looking bone on that one, Sarah.

An old friend today.

I love the older Pumas. That's a nice one.

Thanks Harry, Tom has just be inducted into the prestigious, AKI(Art Knife Invitational) and Brian's engraving is world renowned, this piece is called "The Trapper", for good reason. IMHO, I think it is the nicest slipjoint ever made, and I am over the moon to be the owner and caretaker for such a fine piece.

These two today, have a great day folks.

Rick Menefee trapper and a Salem Straub forge welded integral
Nice carries today, Kris.
That Overeynder Trapper has got to be the most impressive piece I've ever seen.

With me today, early 90s Puma Medici swing guard.

No labor of any kind for me today...suns out, yet cool and gonna take a hike with
the cadet and Weebill in red coral. Picture from yesterday afternoon and still carrying

Thank you Gary (GT) many nice knives for future carry but that Orange pocketworn CASE is really sharp:thumbup:
...
Thanks, Paul, I really like the spearpoint blade on the humpback stockman, and the fact that the knife looks and feels SO nice is a welcome bonus. ;)
(Sorry I mistyped your name!)

Nancy and I went out for lunch in Lake Geneva and I had these 2 in my pockets , as I almost always have ...
Then we went into a Antique shop , and I came home with all of these .......

Not a bad day .

Harry
Congrats on your major antique shop score, Harry!:thumbup: I especially like this black and white pair!

Thank you @Dantone05 for the comment on my Fremonts!

A couple from today, caught a horny toad today while mowing. Little guy got out just in time!

I went with the MAM today.

I must be a simple guy because I sure like simple knives like that one FBC!

I've loved the look of those for a while, but I'm not particularly attracted to stainless steel - do you know if they come in carbon?
...
As far as I know, they all have "German stainless" blades.

Thanks GT, that's a great line-up my friend. I think I'm going to follow your lead on the Gunboat (great pic) as I already have it out to carry :)
...
Hope our US members enjoy their holiday today :) No rest for the weary here unfortunately, so I better get my skates on ;) I'm going paddling with GT today :D

Thanks, Jack. :) Your little boat always reminds me of The African Queen, but I'm not sure why, since it doesn't look at all like Bogart's and Hepburn's ride.

Chestnut and CV in the dove field today.

Charming couple that provides a lot of versatility, Alan!

Some holiday free will selections before I get back to the week day determinism.

Gave this old forum knife some pocket time today

BF%2085%2002.jpg

Love seeing that knife! IMO the best forum knife to date!

Took a dander along to my neighbours house with the family for a cup of tea; he has quite a view from his pad;

That view is amazing, Paul! (Amazing knife, too! ;))

Just back from a few days up at Big Bear; today roasting the last of the dogs on the fire pit for the kids. The 225q pulling fire prep and BBQ duty. Happy Labor Day... Great pics all around!

Great photo! Can't wait until it cools off a little around here so we can use our fire pit.

Awesome! I caught plenty of critters as a kid, but I don't know that I ever caught one of those!

Beautiful well-used TC!

Chestnut and CV in the dove field today.

Great shot! How'd the dove hunt go?

Barrett - I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who still curves the bill on a hat. I just don't understand kids with the bill flat. Great knives as well brother.

:D :D

I don't understand the completely flat bill, either. Of course, there's the equally confusing Japanese little league A-frame bend.

Unfortunately, I do not think that they come in carbon. Don't let that stop you though. MAM does a fine job on their Inox, I am well pleased with the edge holding.

Fine choice of patterns:thumbup::thumbup: Nice to have the combos of Ebony/carbon lockback and Elk/stainless Penknife

Bob Grand looking Forum Knife 14 you have there today:cool:

Thanks, Will

I won?? Are there any prizes besides the everlasting respect of my peers? :D Do you have a particular design in mind yet?
Thanks for the knife compliment. I think last night was beans and rice with some leftover pork medallions that I cut up and mixed in; it was delectable! :p

Inspiring pairing! I wonder if there are many pairs of knives with related names like that.

For the weekend, I allow myself to go off the scheduled rotation and grab some current favorites. As often happens, I end up with some stockman and/or canoe examples.

I might use the Monday holiday to grab another set of unscheduled knives!

- GT

Yes. It can only be found on the porch. ;)

Yummy meal choice. Surely it called for seconds? :D

Thank you! That's a great question.

Wow! All those from the porch? These guys & gals never cease to amaze me.    :)

A couple of sturdy knives there - both icons in their own way.

The end of a peaceful day with this one.

Certainly! They have enough utensils combined to take care of almost anything thrown their way.

The patina makes that one all the more classy.
