My wife and I returned home last night from a family wedding in Clarion, PA. Our route home took us through the Allegheny National Forest and up along a couple of the Finger Lakes on the way home to Syracuse. [...]

Anyway, I've wanted to pick up a Teardrop Jack for awhile now and I had the chance to buy one at the Museum store[...]
.

I love that southern route. I'm always reminded of "Last of the Mohicans", and reflect on how happy I am not to have to chase or flee anybody up and down those hills.

Very nice teardrop. I'd had the notion they were all spear-points.

It's quite a road through the forest. Loads of hills and tight curves. Fun to drive but not so much if you are on foot or a bicycle.

I was all set to buy a spear point Teardrop. My wife noticed the wharncliffe in another display. I'm glad she did.

Thanks my friend, that's a lot of Barlow goodness

After a rather mixed weekend, it was a great surprise to get a phonecall from Charlie C yesterday, and a real treat to have a chat to him :) In honour of the great man, I'm carrying my first TC Barlow today, a gift from Charlie himself :)

Thanks, Jack. That's some Charlow goodness you have there!

Today's Barlow is a Cattaraugus.

These sweet autumn clematis flowers have been blooming for a full month. It must be the hot dry weather that they like.

Really enjoying the pictures, well done everybody!
Gave my little #14 some pocket time the last days, mostly cut apples but there had been some peppers too..;)

Thanks for the reassurance Johnny, that is the way I was leaning.

I wish they would stop making so many nice knives because its getting hard to pick the keepers as I can't have them all.

I know what you mean Josh!
I have a stag #72 on the way and I'm ignoring all the others I want. I'm learning to send a few down the river when more are coming in the mail sack!

Not carrying, more like just arrived. Its really nice and perfect thickness and even.

Now to decide which one is the keeper, this or the od canvas micarta. Help me decide?!?!

Well, that one looks perfectly centered! I mean, exactly centered!!

Are you right-handed like me? If so, that would be a keeper for me. Do you see how the pile side stag bows outward in the middle? That makes it really comfortable in the hand when using hard. The wasp-waist of the Mark side keeps it nice and trim in the pocket. That's the ideal handle configuration for me.

When the question of "which to keep" is proposed on Bladeforums, the answer is almost "keep them both". That is a lame answer. Keep them both and pick up one of the the new purple ones!

Seriously though: what can possibly stand up to that stag!

Yep Robb I am right handed and your are right it does full out the hand right hand. Talk about being good at spotting the specifics!

Thanks macchina.
