Cory, I don't know why I have always pictured you this way, but I've always seen you as a stockman kinda guy. Glad to see that the 49 is working out buddy. Ive enjoyed the pics
I was worried about the 1095 not holding up as well as the D2, so I put a convex edge on the spey blade and used it for the harsher tasks. It worked like a treat.
I think it's been a few weeks straight now for this one...many jealous knives sleep in the case.

My baby girl isn't feeling well today and had an unplanned trip to the doctor. Like most days, I'm carrying "her" Peanut, a Bermuda Green Pocket Worn that I bought the day before she was born.

That looks interesting, tell us more please:thumbup:
Jack, nice to read our fellow members reaching out in such a way.
I hope you have a good day with such a handsome pairing.
I was hoping to be carrying a new acquisition today, an S&M just received after a month long wait from the US.
Sadly I haven't found it to be worth the wait.![]()

It's the queue de poisson Jolipapa sent me some time ago. Made by Masoptier pere in the 1960s or 70s. (Masoptier fils makes mid-range Laguiole types now). (apologies to the francophone world for my French.)
It's a Breton pattern, and actually a women's kitchen garden knife. I'm going to have to get another in case the last firm making them decides to stop.
I'm starting to care less and less about the looks I get on this construction site as I take my dorky knife pictures. This "river" of water was created by a laborer shovelling water about 6 feet away from me. He stopped when I tried to take the picture again with another knife.

^^ Very nice.
Its a treat to see some of the many different European patterns.
There are so many of them, not just in France, but they seem to get little recognition on here.
My wife and I returned home last night from a family wedding in Clarion, PA. Our route home took us through the Allegheny National Forest and up along a couple of the Finger Lakes on the way home to Syracuse. [...]
Anyway, I've wanted to pick up a Teardrop Jack for awhile now and I had the chance to buy one at the Museum store[...].
I love that southern route. I'm always reminded of "Last of the Mohicans", and reflect on how happy I am not to have to chase or flee anybody up and down those hills.
Very nice teardrop. I'd had the notion they were all spear-points.
