Alan
What a majestic pair! You are on a roll lately, Alan!
Lambsfoot again for me today. I don't have a fresh picture, so I'll revisit a favorite:
Always a pleasure to see pics (new or old) of your interspecies buffalo lambsfoot, Greg!
I'm amazed at the way you love it all the time
The way you ..put it in the line
Pulled it out of time
And I understand
Maybe I'm amazed
At the way it's with you all the time
...
Hey, I just heard Sir Paul crooning (screaming?) that one on the radio in the car on the way home from work Thursday night. Made me Smile Away!
A New York State of Mind
NYKCo (pearl) & Camillus Cutlery Co. (pick bone)
Talk about maybe Im amazed!!! Incredible pair, Gev; thats a pearl of great price!
Very fine stags and ducks, Pt-Luso!
Newest member of the family.
Pleasantly patriotic, Ken!
I love, love, love this old Camillus C4. Much harder to come by than the Camillus-manufactured Remington R-4. The C4 has gotten a ton of pocket time since mid-summer. The craftsmanship on the 5-blade Camillus scouts from this era is truly remarkable. No blade wobble on any blade. Perfect walk and talk. Almost zero liner gap. And even though I'm not a gun guy, I love the brass 30-06 cartridge head inlay. The tool selection on this knife is outstanding. Wood saw, fat belly spearpoint main blade, secondary large coping blade, philips screwdriver, cap lifter/flathead screwdriver and bail. The knife originally had an infamous "scalloped" coping blade (read worst serrated blade ever), but a diamond hone fixed that quickly. The extra tool layer makes the C4 supremely comfortable in the hand; even for extended use.
That's just a shadow on the coping blade. The edge is straight as an arrow.
Thats a spectacular Camillus Scout, Buzz!
Today, on the trail.
Thank you, Gary! It's a GEC 66, Calf Roper Slim. I was drawn to the clip blade on this one and the Cocobolo definitely green-lighted it.
Today, a Case Medium Jack and my EDC Barlow.
That Schrade Barlow is unforgettable, Dean; I always enjoy seeing that jigging! That black Case medium jack is a stylish, svelte knife! Thanks for the Calf Roper Slim info; I hope Ill continue to learn about pocket knives, albeit more slowly than Id like to.
I hope everyone has had a good week

Putting these two in my pockets today

Thats one of my favorites of your pairings, Jack! Must be quite a load, though, with a buffalo and a stag in your pockets all day!
0ld red bone Cattaraugus today...
[/IMG]
That is a charismatic Catt, Atiger!
Thank you Bob, I kind of lost my way for a while there. I lost my job, found a new job, and have just been crazy busy with life and the kids. Things are starting to calm down a bit now thankfully.
Great to see you back, Eric, and glad things are starting to work out!
I've got one of those Watch Case Opener SAKs around here somewhere (Wenger) I've wondered if I could use it to shuck small oysters.
They've been predicting a cool front to bring rain and cooler temperatures. Stag always makes me think of Autumn, so I've been carrying my 2014 Forum knife all week. Today it rained just enough to make steam rise from the sidewalks, but no Fall weather in sight.
Your Forum knife is looking good, Rachel; hope it can help you think cool thoughts! FWIW, I wore a fleece jacket to the grocery store this morning.
These today
Harry
Grand pair of 72s, Harry!
Spent a good part of yesterday at the dentist. I had the SAK Electrician in tote.
I usually find trips to the dentist less than ideal, but a Vic Electrician is pretty comforting!
Brand new Violet Pioneer Bone 72, new pattern for me and I love it, straight into the pocket. Also cut and dyed a violet bone bead as well.
Deep Purple Live!!! Thats a show-stopper, Jeff!
Thanks for the comment on the watch opener
Gary. I suppose the watch opener tool could be sharpened but i don't know if it is hardened as a blade.
Today I carried a GEC 92 and a Vic Popular with no cross.
Have a good one everyone!
Ken K.
Good point about the hardening, Ken. That Popular is a handsome knife!
GT! I love the wood grain on that Toothpick! Is that a 4" model?
Today, I put my beautiful Remington Canoe, Pirogue, (Thanks,
GT!) on light duty. The office workers with the shiny shoes had a big meeting this morning, and like any good Field Heathen, I scavenged and vultured through the left over catered goods.

Ol' Pirogue sliced a baguette in half effortlessly, and I split it with a buddy of mine. Then, he posed for a picture when I got home. Have an incredible weekend, everyone!
Props for your pristine Pirogue, Shawn!
That Buck toothpick is a 4 closed clip/spey model. The only place Ive ever seen them is in the Christmas tin I bought last December along with a small Buck toothpick (that you can find everywhere). Here are a couple of photos:
There she is.....
Today.
I appreciate your appreciating my one-of-a-kind RR small stockman, GuestWho! What's this golden UNXLD you've posted?
Wow! What knife is that one? Lovely!
was gonna try to match the new knife to black scrubs and watch, but the black set was in the wash,
Thats an attractive equal-end S&M, mrknife! (Could use another blade, though

)
. Today though after takin' this pic the Graeff & Schmidt Jack spent the rest of the day doin' the daily chores.
Thats a ravishing relic, Ted!
Harry mine is the small Country Sodbuster.
However, Ive developed an interest in knives made outside of the US lately so at $45 I couldn't resist.
Thanks for the info Brett !! I have also become interested in decent knives made in other countries and since my favorite knife shop handles Maserin , I have become interested in them specifically. They do look quite nice and the prices are not bad either.
Harry
Brett & Harry, Ive had a lot of satisfaction dabbling in inexpensive knives from foreign lands. I hope you guys have similar experiences!
Seeing Timberweasel's Serapis put me in the mood for Moki today
That Moki is stupendous!
Phantastic photo, Shawn!
86 soldier today.
Captain, you command a fine Soldier there!
Alan
Another electrifying pair, Alan!
Case 6347 Stockman today. Got some boxes I need to open and some anti-static bags to slit open. I have all three blades shaving sharp so that should be no problem.
Thats pretty much my platonic ideal of a stockman, John!
Nice one, Dboy! I have a Chinese Buck 373 (Im guessing its a little smaller than yours) that I like a lot.
Superb swayback jack, smcclown!
It's a visually stunning knife and extremely comfortable both in the pocket and the hand.
That IS a stunner, Paul! I havent paid serious attention to the Case teardrops since I thought they were always single-bladed. But your spear/pen (or is it wharncliffe/pen) changes everything.
My carry today includes Number 10, my TC EDC and a Schatt & Morgan Heritage Jack I got from Bob (Big Biscuit) on the Exchange. The S&M has been "bobified" converting the pen blade into a coping style; it's a classy knife.
Thats a triumphant trio, Dean! All for one, and one for all.
It's the "wild" weekend, so I may carry whatever knives I want, independent of my weekday prescribed rotation! This weekend is a Case study.
My first Case, a stainless Delrin Peanut (from a Cory Hess GAW - thanks, Cory):
Another Case Peanut, stainless and stag, that I found at a gun & knife show:
My latest Case Peanut, a chestnut jigged bone CV model I purchased this month, after much deliberation:
Another chestnut CV Case, a Sodbuster Jr (from a BigBiscuit GAW - thanks, Bob):
A third chestnut CV Case, a swayback jack (thanks, Paul):
Yet another chestnut CV Case (I kinda like that series), a sowbelly stockman (thanks, Ron):
A Harvest Orange Humpback stockman (thanks, Mike)
And, finally, an amber bone stainless Sodbuster Jr (from a "rolling GAW" - thanks, rye_a and mrknife):
