For a change of pace, I am carrying the Sway Back Jack I won a few months back, as well as the ever-present Peanut.

Some very beautiful Case knives on the last page, especially your Chestnut CV Swayback, GT and your Teardrop, Paul.

That's a great trio, Alan! That Sheffield is great. I need to up my English knife game.

Gorgeous 77 you got there, Bob. I'm not crazy about GECs clip blade profile, but it looks right on the 77s.

Excellent to see that Strawberry Sundae, Greg! Just a fantastic acrylic pattern.

I've got a pair of Ebony Barehead Jacks today. Who knows how many years apart they are, upwards of 120 years or so, if you take the first year that Ulster tang stamp showed up. Its probably closer to 70 years, though. I'll have another ebony barehead jack showing up this week!

Wonderful shot Greg. When I saw it I just said in a deep terrible Italian voice, "The sauce, the sauce, taste it. Its very good."

Still w/ the 81 & 73 today.

Going small (for me) today.
Number 30 Sheffield (thanks Jack), GEC #14 Boys Knife, and Case medium stockman.

You're very welcome Alan, from Richards :)

Jack, I really appraiciate the insight on the Maserin. Good to know it should be ok. I agree with you as well on the sodbuster being about the only model I gravitate towards from them. On a second note, Im looking forward to my Wright & Son lambsfoot on it's way. :D

It's a knife I really like Brett, and one of the many I feel embarrassed about not carrying more often :) Great news on the Lambsfoot my friend, I hope you like the pattern :)

Looks good Bob

Very glamorous :)

Beautiful pair

Still w/ the 81 & 73 today.

Still looking good Brett :)

Thanks Shawn. The TC Barlows are built on the 15 frame though. Not the 77. I'm just the opposite, I think GEC has one of the nicest clip blade shapes.

My mistake, Bob. I guess with the new run of NF 77s, my brain read that TC as an NF. As far as clip profiles go, I prefer the long, deep curve of a "California Clip" like Buck and Case use.

Thanks Jack.

Dean, Tim bought it well used, then cleaned it up and showed it new love. Now it's ready for round three. :D

How do you feel about the Clip on the 82 Dixie or 66 Slim, 48 Trapper? They are the Turkish/Calif type. Wouldn't suit a Barlow obviously But then, I favour Spear for them anyway:D

That's the lure of Traditionals, such a wide spectrum of tastes and choices:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

There's nothing wrong with the clips on those knives. They seem a little bland to me. I think what I like in a clip point is more suited for slender blades. I like a big swoop and an upturned point. The thin, swooping Case clip on the Texas Toothpick makes me think that if it were a person, they would be a rather unsavory, untoward, sinister person. When it is on a taller blade, it doesn't have that same affect on me. I think seeing the Buck 119 Special as a kid might be the cause of this idea that a clip point is supposed to be a sinister-looking, swooping blade profile.

Edit: Very nice, r8shell! I'm very excited about my incoming ebony handled barehead.
