What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I can see why this one is your favorite. The Osage orange wood seems to have gotten even darker since last time we have seen it.

After a long hot summer we had a well deserved, beautiful & mild weather this weekend.

Wonderful shot Greg. When I saw it I just said in a deep terrible Italian voice, "The sauce, the sauce, taste it. Its very good."

Still w/ the 81 & 73 today.

Beautiful Stockman Brett~ Bob and I were actually talking about the 81 today. What a fantastic piece, slim profile, nice full blades with long pull and at the 4" length it's a nice carry size.

Thanks Tim. I'm happy to give it a new home. :D

Anytime my friend, I knew you'd love that one :)

It's getting cold on the east coast, had a nice long walk with Rémy today carrying the sowbelly.

My first Case, a stainless Delrin Peanut (from a Cory Hess GAW - thanks, Cory):

GT, I have to tell you how happy it makes me every time you post a picture of that peanut. I'm so glad that you ended up with it, and that you continue to keep it in the rotation. Thanks for sharing, my friend.

I spent most of today doing yard work, and my 49 was with me all day.

I put her away tonight and pulled the D2 version back out. I'm a flip flopper lately, I can't decide which one I like more.

Very glamorous :)

One word, "Wow!"

Thanks fellas!

Thanks for the help identifying those knives you posted, Dee. :) I was quite sure the "yellow" one was a whittler of some kind, but the "pointy one" was a total mystery to me!
Haven't made any business proposals to Dean. I think he'd have to handle the premium stock, and I'd head the economy selection.

Anytime GT.

Sounds good to me (referring to your business idea). ;) :)

Very nice CSC and a great looking pairing Paul.:thumbup:

Thanks Bob, it's a wonderful knife and a company I seem to have neglected and now regret. Just a very nice knife.

Tim, Remy looks very happy in your picture, aren't dogs great:cool::thumbup:

Rather unique canoe, Macchina! How do you like it?

I always considered the Canoe pattern to be a bit out there (it's no French Kate :)) but very functional. I have collected a few GEC's from about 5 years ago before the current #15 and Barlow craze and I tend to find the older GEC's tend to have a bit more function built in. I love the 68 White Owl (2 blades on a single spring, a very svelte pattern) and the #16 Canoe is very similar but with just a bit more bolster which makes for a very ergonomic grip! I love GEC #16s, I have another on the way.

The Canoe spent a week in the woods with me:

GT: I love that Chestnut Peanut. This exact knife is what I think of when I think of a "Case knife". What a beautiful example, it makes you wonder how Case can hit their Chestnut dye so perfectly then turn out the red dyes they do...

question, is there away to directly upload from phone? or do yall upload to photobucket later and then share the picture?

Today has been a bright sunny autumn day  Not many of those left before the darkness of winter rain & snow descends:eek:

Making the most of it with a favourite bird..White Owl/ Light Tan

I use the photobucket app on my phone and create a link direct from there. Ironically the mobile app works 1000 better than their desktop site...
If you want to get really low tech, you can even send the pictures to an email address that pops them directly into your Photobucket account!

ah theres an app for that! nice!, yes i always find myself having to upload these when I get home, and think the day is over already and knife is back in the back in the edc box, good tip!

Hanging around the house today, so these will change hourly. The Wenger SI (1999) that I found a few years ago by kicking leaves like a kid and there it was and the GEC 74 Mustang in Orange Delrin.

After a late start, we have had a nice summer here in Yorkshire, but today is distinctly Autumnal. Have a good week everyone

A great photo composition of that classic knife, Jack!
