What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It's football time in Tennessee! :D Wish me luck!

Today I have these 2, similar, yet very different knives in hand. IMO they are both most excellent!!!

I went back across the street to the garage sale and spoke with the brother, who said there were a tub of knives in the house. We spoke for a while as we looked at the knives, and I left with this one. Stag Stockman Case. It has "Razor Edge" on the main blade, 4 dots, 5347 HP SSP on the flip side. I'm trying to look up the year made, but not figuring it out yet. Any ideas? $40, in great shape. I love the stag on the presentation side.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My wife gave me a Case Wharncliffe mini copperhead this morning. So of course that is what I am carrying today. I'd not realized this is a single spring design. Very elegant.

Hello fellas,

Just passing a quiet moment this Saturday between the fuss of the market this morning and the screams of youth league soccer this afternoon...

Ron That Ebony workhorse is a very tough but elegant item, imposing carry. I like my Northfield Blackwood version too.

Funny when I hear you Americans talk about football I automatically think of what Brazilians and the world call football....:D You say soccer I believe, that's my game anyway..

Regards, Will

Will - Your description of "tough but elegant" most certainly is an accurate description of the #79 Workhorse. They are one of my favorites in any trim offered. I also have a couple of the 3 blade Montana Whittlers, they are built like a tank, yet still manageable in the pocket.
I am quite familiar with the game of soccer as my daughter played in school. It is truly a more worldly game so to speak. But us Americans truly love our football.:D

Regards my friend,

Congrats!

I've been absent this week. Lots of work from Hurricane Matthew. I lost one of my homes, however, I'm looking forward to building something new.

I changed up my weekly knife a little late this week. Spent a week and a half with my SFO #77 Red Jigged Bone and it brought a smile to my face everyday. This week, I'm going with the SFO #77 Micarta. Its covers remind me of old linen dollies that have been forgotten. Something very unique for a cover, IMO. Secondly, I've made the Blade Forums Knife my house knife. I absolutely love it after breaking it in, but like others, it was a little tough to get going.
