What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's a fantastic looking knife Buzzbait. There has been some really nice Kabars on display in this thread lately.

buzzbait: I have been getting into scouts lately and that is a very good looking Kabar, don't have one.....yet. Recently did get a Camillus C4 tho, a must have.

Well done!!!! The C4, as far as I'm concerned, is the apex of old scout manufacturing at Camillus. Even better than the Remington R4. The tool compliment on those C4's is amazingly functional. Even better if you convert the scalloped blade to a straight edge. I'm fortunate enough to have 3 of those C4's in my collection, one converted for my personal use.

The Kabar 1152 is a beautiful model, also made by Camillus. The tool compliment isn't as nice as the C4, but it has a thinner grind on the main blade, and nice carbon steel tools. The delrin scales are especially thick and deeply textured on the 1152. Amazing grip.

I'm fortunate in that this one is nearly a perfect example. There is hardly a scratch on it. There isn't a single wobbly blade on the knife, and the walk and talk is perfect. It even came with the old cardboard box.

I'm feeling a little festive today and luck would have it this beauty arrived just in time for the holidays!

Did not carry Stag yesterday , so I have to carry 2 of them today to catch up.
73 Stags . Have to use some older pictures. The top one is a Liner Lock and the bottom one is not .

Put a nice sharp edge on this old Kent, and now it's a pleasure to carry. It's got a nice shield, half stops, and a long nail nick. Surprisingly high quality.

You dont see to many serpentine jacks with tipped bolsters. I've been curious what it would look like as Ive sent a 66 slim off to Glenn to get tipped bolsters. I like it.

My answer to what are you carrying today is NONE. I'm getting on a plane to the U.K. I got nothing I'm risking packing in a checked bag.

Lol, thanks Colin. Winters like ours makes us really appreciate Summer:D;)

The best reason to visit ND is the people. Amazingly enough in my experience most of them are as upstanding and generous as our Mr. Hilborn. (P.S., they also have great duck hunting and fishing and the prairie has it's own unique beauty). Maybe I should write for the Valley City Chamber of Commerce, what do you think Paul? ;)

I'm totally bluffing anyway. My wife and I will likely work the beet harvest in coming seasons, and we looked into moving to Sioux Falls. (South Dakota, but who's counting?)

Seems like there are a lot of good, genuine people in that part of the country, even if they have to dress up like Hugh Glass for half the year. ;)

Paul, I feel the same way about the weather here in Arizona, only reversed. The summers (110°-115° regularly, occasionally as high as 120°) really make you appreciate the winters. :D
