Gary, you know my affection for this knife-- and now, for my own.CurseThank you again, for the inspiration.
Please tell me more about the sheath, hopefully with pictures? Is it possible cross draw, in addition to being made of delectable leather? Mine came with a leather-covered kydex sheath which is not quite what I have in mind, as I continue to sort out my fixed blade carry-ing.
Thanks!
Yes, all one piece, forged/fashioned by Burt Foster out of a billet of damascus steel that he creates himself.
The combination (collision?) of the hammered handle with the revelations within the ground blade swoons me, still.

Sarah, You're welcome!
Burt was offering the leather sheath as an option when I got mine, it came with a kydex only neck sheath, which is not something I use. The sheath is really well made and nicely finished, though fairly simple. The belt loop on the sheath has a bit of a cant to it that might allow cross draw. You can see it in the picture. Although the angle would suggest you'd have to wear it loop side out, which would be wierd. So I doubt cross draw was intended.
I've got a few knives with the leather covered kydex sheaths. It makes a pretty nice sheath too.
Maybe he'll make you a leather sheath. It can't hurt to ask!
