What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks much, Gary! I especially appreciate the side shot.

The Dark Side is so slim, it fits in a KSF Pocono pocket sheath with nary a stretch, but I'm looking anew at belt carry for the beautiful beast.

[One of the collateral benefits of my current Fiddleback Bender is that, pushed into the realm of custom sheathmakers, I am finally, finally finding workable ways to carry my fixed blades on my belt(s), not just in my pocketses-- although the custom pocketses options are great, as well! Part of this is breaking the "sheath-knife-on-belt" barrier, something I couldn't have foreseen in my repertoire yay-many-years ago, but it's also the result of seeking out/paying for something other than worthy but "one-size-fits-most" options. A goodly adventure, this.]

You're more than welcome, Sarah.

I really like those Fiddleback Forge knives you've posted, Sarah. The pocket sheathes look really nice too. I carry a fixed blade about half of the time, sometimes in a pocket sheath and sometimes on the belt. I know of what you speak on selecting the sheath that works best for you.

These two along for the ride today. I'm not showing the sheath as it's kydex and doesn't speak to my traditional senses. The knife more then makes up for it though.

I took a quick hike this morning, and perhaps you would like to see some knife content.

Oatmeal on the fire! After adding some brown sugar, raisins, and chocolate, this was a nice treat on a cold morning.

Hi Bob. Beautiful red soup bone. It's not often you see photos of these with a bit of wear and tear on the blade. Great to see. This is one of my all time favourite pocket knives.

Welcome to the porch, SirLT5! If/when you get a chance, please follow up with a picture of your carry. Folks around here tend to like them. A lot. ;-)

For example, today I'm toting my latest acquisition, a Northfield #77 Barlow in sawcut copperhead bone from the recent run. It's just been used to cut up an apple and peel an orange, and it's not even breathing hard.

Great quote! Love this scene. Thanks.

Beautiful Pocket Chopper there Gary, kind of Santoku-ish :D I think it merits a leather home not just the plastic one...;)

Thanks, Will

Thanks, Will. Tom Krein calls it a Micro Chef. Full flat ground D2 modified Wharncliffe with Ivory Micarta. It does deserve a nice leather sheath. I just hate sending the knife out to have a sheath made for it, although I have done that in the past. Now you have me thinking... Thanks I think.

Thank you. :D

I have been carrying my Buck 501 the past couple of days.

I intend to post in the "Ugliest Traditional" thread that I find the iconic Buck 110 a particularly unattractive knife, but I sure don't have the same opinion about that sweet Buck lockback, Erik!

Sporting my "new" Joseph Rodgers stag Sleeveboard today!
Yowza! That is a fantastic old stag pen knife, Ernie; congrats!!:cool:

Thanks, Gary. Speaking of cool, your Minichamp is no slouch!

Another TC day.

Thanks, Dean. That photo has the most-used tools deployed: bottle-opener with little Philips driver; nail file for smoothing out mis-trimmed nails; little wharncliffish blade that I use for opening clamshell packages, slicing the cellophane wrapper on a six-pack of Klondike bars, cutting the seal off a new jar of unsalted dry-roasted peanuts, etc.; scissors for trimming loose threads while doing the laundry and for opening a variety of food packages (breakfast cereal liners, frozen vegetables, paper bags); and the pen (which we all know is mightier than the sword :D).
That TC barlow has Thrilling Covers!;)

Welcome, Sir! :)

Totin' this one, as per usual.

Chin, that spear/pen 15 is awesome; I can see why it would be carried "as per usual"!

Pete's peerless peanut!!

Speaking of horses, what is that gigantic fixed blade, Ben? Looks like more than necessary to stir oatmeal! :D

Carrying a special one today. A Christmas gift from a friend. Thank you very much, Tim!

Beautiful, Dee; congrats (and Merry Christmas)!:thumbup: Way to go, Tim! That TC Barlow is Totally Christmas!;)

I had a strong feeling I needed to carry this one today.

Winter is coming...

Thanks for pulling out that Terminally Cheerful Charlow, Dean! I can use the artificial sunshine, especially after spending almost 8 hours shoveling snow between 7pm Friday and 7am Monday. :( I'm quite convinced that winter is already here.

...
Today I have had this XX Red Ragg Bone in my pocket. It is quite addictive! :D

Ron, as the holidays draw near, your red Case Barlow reminds me of the song about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:"you could even say it glows"!:D
