What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The "giant fixed blade" is a Condor Bushtool. I did some spoon carving on the hike, and I roughed out the blanks with this. (It is lighter and easier to carry than an axe. For a short hike, it roughed out my spoons, split the kindling so I could get to some dry wood for feather sticks, and cleared the rosebushes that had grown over the trail).

This is the first time in a quite a while that I actually had a wood covered knife on Wooden Wednesday.

D'holder fixed blade and a WT from Don Morrow today.

I keep saying I have to pick up a Lambsfoot... On most knives a blade-open picture tempts me, but on Lambsfoot knives it's the closed position pictures that really shows them off IMO. Great picture.

I really like those little guys Travman, what a fantastic knife/picture.

I have been extremely sick this past week and still. My wife was nice enough to let me clean up my Christmas present. This is an Original Puma Bowie from 1966, Puma started to date code in 64. Mint condition with original sheath, box and card(all in German). I removed the rockwell sticker and sharpened the Pumaster steel on my 1k Shapton, gave the sheath a good saddle soap and condition. It is an very well made knife with some very attractive Sambar stag, hammered pins, feels good in hand. Pumaster steel is chrome plated, high carbon steel, if I am not mistaken. Takes a great edge. Hard to believe it has been sitting for 50 years, waiting for me.

Get well soon, Kris! That old Puma should sure put some kick in your step. Awesome piece!

Thanks Gev, I am trying to get better. Bacterial infection of the lungs.

A couple of beauties, Gary, from the "bucket top series".

Thanks, Gev! Those two don't get out much. I thought they deserved an outing today.

That made me laugh, Kris. I've been taking my daily carry pictures on my way to fill my backyard bird feeders.

That Puma is just wonderful. They made some great knives over the years.
Hope you get that infection behind you quickly and rally soon.

I agree. I keep hoping for one to show up on the exchange, but I've never seen one for sale. We may have to get off our butts and get one directly.

Thanks. I consider it a "medium-sized" guy. It is a #55 with a 3 1/2 inches closed length. In pictures it often gets confused with the smaller #18 Beagles.

Got DBEed most of today, so excuse me for lagging behind :(

That fixed-blade looks like a great user Kris, beautiful too, love the lines on it

Hope that gift makes you feel better soon Kris

Nice Sam :)

Like Greg, I've also been showing some Love for the Lambsfoot today, and the Lambsfoot in question is this William Rodgers, gifted to me by Charlie C :)

That TC barlow has Thrilling Covers!;)

Thanks for pulling out that Terminally Cheerful Charlow, Dean! I can use the artificial sunshine, especially after spending almost 8 hours shoveling snow between 7pm Friday and 7am Monday. :( I'm quite convinced that winter is already here.

More of my knives this week:
a Buck 373 Trio (shown with a Buck Solo I gave away)

Thank you, Jack! Your lambsfoot is gor-g-ous!! That was a thoughtful gift from Charlie.

Today I have this little Santa Fe Stonework's Camillus lock back in my watch pocket of my jeans, always loved this little guy.
