What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two this morning, a puukko that Karl-Erik Lindblad made for me a few years ago, the damascus blade was forged by Göran Enocksson in Sweden; along with a lock back from F. Hartkopf, very well made with Thuya burl and Balbach damascus. Have a great day everyone!

Those two look good together Ken, a Happy New Year to you too

Many beautiful knives posted. I really enjoy the eye candy. You guys and gals get me in trouble because they just add to my "must find and buy" list. I would love to post some pics also but I'm technoligically challenged as well as my photographic skills leave much to be desired.

Will,
I guess I'm a member of the "slim" cult, but just barely. I have a grand total of one in Gabon Ebony. I don't have the heart to actually put it in my pocket so it's life is spent being fondled and admired. I can imagine it would be pretty close to the perfect pocket carry. I am in search of a standard Calf Roper of which the pickings are quite slim and have yet to find "the one", or at least be quick enough to snag it when it appears.
Happy New Year to all, and take care,
Rick

The mail person just delivered this one! (Like we really need another pic of a peach seed Barlow:))

Last few days (since it arrived Tuesday) this new case/Bose cattle knife has accompanied me. A gift from a new friend and member here. Today, recliner day, raining outside and I'm nursing a sprained back. So this is the pic that gets got instead of a nice outside working photo. Maybe later it'll help me build a little fire in my new fire pit for hot dogs and smores before fireworks. lol. The more I use and carry this knife, the more I like. And half stops on a cattle knife? I love it!

Just getting used to tapatalk on the iPad. I obviously screwed this up! Trying to say, glad to be part if the 66 slim calf roper club, if I can find one, please ,,,,

Guest I've only got a crap picture of my Pearl Acrylic, difficult stuff to capture, but it has a very unusual shield that GEC badly needs to offer again on some other knives. Then you post an EXCEPTIONAL 25! Is that Primitive Bone or something else? Goes extremely well with Barehead, Sheepfoot and the Cloud shield, which I like. Some people seem to have some odd prejudices against it based not on aesthetics but because it is insufficiently 'traditional' Not in my book anyway.

With all these cults knocking about here, we need a SECT :D The Slim Sect. Mind you, it's going to be exclusive as there were not that many 66 slims issued. I believe there are Purple Sage ones and possibly Primitive Bone as well. Perhaps we can enlarge it to the 66 Sect to include the Jacks and Stockman, Bullnose.....;)

Regards for New Year to all who dwell here,

Will

Crap ? You could of took a photo of that unique beauty on a pile of dirt and it wouldn't have detracted from its gorgeousness . You're going to have to share that one more often ;).

The "Sect" sounds Top Secret cool, Will. I like it ! And you're probably right about including the other patterns used on the #66 frame, also. I think I let my partialness towards the CRS cloud my judgment :o :). The more, the merrier . But it's still numero uno, though :D.

You are correct about the #25. It's Primitive Bone .

Happy New Year to you & yours as well!!!

That's quite the first, John . Was it everything you'd hope for from a Northwoods :)?

Other than the small scratch on the clip blade, it is absolutely perfect! The centering is dead on. The pull is about a 5-6. Walk and talk are smooth and crisp. Overall, I'm very impressed. I am assuming that this one was made by Queen as I have a Tuna Valley Railsplitter that is almost identical.

Thanks Jack, I managed to put it on just about everything I ate yesterday. It is good, it is like a mild version of Lea & Perrins, and a little sweeter. Now that HP looks like a direct copy of A1 :barf:. Have a great New Year, my friend.

Edit: Looks like HP owns Lea and Perrins and A1/Heinz :p
