What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This is going with me to work shortly. Let's hope it's a smooth week, not much of that lately....

Just a splendid knife! That smooth camel bone should help to smooth out your week too! I sent you some energy from a mediation too ;) Great picture.

1940s Graef & Schmidt smooth bone Jack. This was a rescue knife. It was used to open paint cans and mix the paint, it was sealed shut with dried paint. When I finally got it open the primary blade had a couple of dime size scallops chipped from the edge where he opened the lid on the paint can. Finally after all that abuse he put it away wet with paint and in the box it went for 50 years. When I finally got it open I reworked the blade and began cleaning the paint off the scales. It took a couple of days to save it but it was worth it. The blades still walk and talk and the bone is just beautiful with all its patina and warmth. Glad I saved it instead of tossing it, I saw something in it worth savin'. :)

Looking good Ron, hope you enjoyed the football my friend

Very cool-looking knife

Well captured TC :)

Very nice

What's the fixed-blade, if I may ask, looks very useful?

Inspired by Ron, I'm carrying my ebony A.Wright Lambsfoot today, along with the HJ9 Duncan recently gifted me. Have a good week everyone

Thanks! That a Lumberjack AT with micarta scales and A2 steel from Blind Horse Knives. I LOVE this knife. And while BHK no longer exists the two former owners both have their own companies now: Battle Horse Knives and LT Wright Knives.

I'd say it was worth saving, alright. For the shield alone, even!

Thanks for the compliments on my bowie and whittler.

Nice looking fixed blade, Gary, how are you liking S35vn?

That's a nice piece of stag on that folder. Definitely deserves some pocket time.

And it will get it. The #99 is one of my favorite patterns. Might have been better without the shield but they did a great job inlaying it deep in the stag.
Thanks

Thanks Jack--the more I use it, the more I appreciate Lon's design and craftsmanship.

I really like that little fixed blade, is that one you made yourself?

This is what is on my person today. I do not have much of a variety yet (something that is sure to change with time), so you might see the same knives... I will at least try and make the pictures interesting. :)

Nice Gun Scout. (I think it should be called the Blood Scout). I missed out on those Northwoods leather lanyards so I had some made for myself and my relatives.

Love the pattern on the damascus, they compliment each other nicely. :)

Staying with my recent #74 theme, I took out my old coffeehouse acrylic saddle trapper for some new pics and to carry a while.
