Your red bone Case knives astound me every time you treat us to a glimpse of them. The one you posted here is splendid (as is your old nickel)! I was a brand new college graduate in 1973, and I'll admit I don't look half as good as that knife does now.
Looking forward to seeing a sowbelly whittler from you someday, sir! That Winchester whittler is certainly no slouch!!!
I really admire the carved handle on your Taramundi, Brett! How are you liking your relatively-new Taramundis? I was using mine in the kitchen last week, and seem to like the knife more every time I use it.
"Get your kicks on Route 66."Lots of equal-end ecstasy there, Dee!
Congrats on the new punch stockman, Dean!Did I read somewhere that it's stockman #30 for you?? Quite a milestone! Of course, the Ancient has True Character.
I thought you were a committed stag junky, Alan, so I'm amazed that sweetest little rosebud is the only one for thee!
Looking forward to photos of your new menagerie, Harry!
Congrats!
Paul, you possess a prestigious pile of prize pruners!!
I always enjoy seeing that old Ulster of yours, Harry.Seems like most of the knives you carry currently are single-bladed; do you ever miss having a multi-blade knife? Are your other 2 "junk" knives from back then traditional patterns? If so, may we see pics sometime! Thanks!
More of the knives I've been lugging around this week appear below.

Thank you AIAS and Alan : It was MY EDC before I even heard the EDC term . Cleaned Rabbit , Squirrel , Fish , and Quail . Carried it with me as an Engineer in the construction and agricultural industry . Took it to almost every state and a fair amount of countries including Uzbekistan . I magnetized the blades to use it for inspecting and trouble shooting Hydraulic , Diesel Engine , and large Transmission failures . I treated it right and it never let me down. It was 1 of only 3 knives that I had at the time and the other 2 were junk but I still have them too .

I received this yeller nut as a gift yesterday ( I'll start a proper thank you thread later today) and I love it. Ive decided to " walk the walk" as I asked the winners of my GAW to do so I'll carry this little feller for s week and let you all know what I think of my first peanut!
So here the little feller is on its first day at work...
Very nice! I've been seriously considering one of these. Would you care to give a quick review?
Sounds wonderful, Gary! Your going in style and tell your brother Happy Birthday! The new 40:thumbup:
SureBuild quality is typical Cold Steel, rock solid with no play, smooth pulls, appears to be a good heat treat on the S35VN. Fit and finish on mine has a few issues, small gaps in the springs, the Spey is not flush with the backspring when open, and did rap the spring if you let it close too aggressively but a piece of cork fixed that right up. The grinds are good and decently thin (way thinner than my Queens). If you've got a chance to handle before buying or a retailer that will inspect before shipping/accept returns I say go for it.
If you have any more specific questions, let me know.
