What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Good choice Ron. Randy sent one just like that but in red bone to my grandson as a Christmas present. I was quite impressed with the smooth walk and talk. Very nice quality.

That is stunning! Where did you pick that up? (you can PM me) - Tom

Fantastic photo of that beauty, Dee!

At home (like I am now with a killer cold), this Barlow has the place of honor on the end table near me. Schrade Cut Co.

Thanks Dean!

Everyone's carrying my favorites.
First Gary, now you.

Hope you feel better soon, buddy.

Great! guestWho!!!

Thanks Alan!

So many fantastic blades here. Bob, that Pony Jack is stellar! And GuestWho101, that red soup bone Barlow (I think that is what it is) is stunning. I try not to get too obsessed with "grail knives", but that Barlow would sure make the list.

Here is my rather modest offering to this thread today. The Bullnose has been getting quite a bit of pocket time and is starting to develop a bit of a patina, though it might be hard to see in the pic.

Thank you!

The Bullnose may be modest in price, but it's rich in quality. Great choice!

Not many of them around Alan. It's very similar to the #66 Calf Roper Jack, but it is not serpentine. Just a straight equal end cigar pattern. Very simplistic, yet a touch refined in it's own way. Sometimes simple is just best. ;)
I just cleaned it up, sharpened and oiled it today.

I like it! Simple is good. I, on the lookout for a slim calf roper, but seems hard to find. ,

Thanks for the info Bob.

I have a similar one in sawed bone. Nice choice!

Another nice Case! That pattern fits so nicely in the pocket.

Great to see a TC user GW. I've got my first one on its way and I do believe it will see time in the wild as well!

Northwoods Fremont Jack in b/w

Great pic. I love the way that B&W let's you focus :D on the composition and subject! Curious about the subtle touches of color. Was that all done with Photoshop?

Thank you!! I did it in GIMP (a free alternative to Photoshop) but you can do it just as well in PS. Just google "selective coloring" and your program of choice. You basically put a color version of the picture as layer underneath the b/w and then remove the top layer selectively to reveal the color. This one was quite easy, just took me a couple of minutes.

Nice worn bone patina on that knife Jack. It's clearly been doing a lot of 'doctoring' in its time before even the NHS!:D:D

Thanks :) Yes, indeed! :D

Nice

68 Pony Jack.

+1  The standard of photography here just gets better and better, well done folks

Now you're talking! ;) :D

This was one of my first GEC's, and it remains one of my absolute favourites, I really like the #66 frame. Hope you're feeling better Dean, and that everyone else is having a good week

Jack , I have enjoyed watching your 66 though the years. Wasnt it your only carry for a year or something ?
