Jack, I don't know what the noro virus is and I am sure that I don't want to know. I do hope you feel better soon my friend.
I had the Bullnose and a Mora with me today while I did a little work around the house.

I'll have to measure that toothpick. But I'm about to study the inside of my eyelids. IE: Be asleep.

Thanks, Harry. :) But don't be fooled like I was initially: the covers are ram's horn BONE! I think it's done very well, but if you look closely, you can see it's bovine bone dyed and jigged to simulate ram's horn. (Or if I'd paid attention to what the ads (and the blade etch) actually state - "ram's horn bone" - I wouldn't have been so surprised. :o

I do have a Marbles canoe with genuine ram's horn covers, though:

I guess I just read too fast . It still looks good though .
The real Stuff does look better yet .

Harry

Thanks for the kind words GT. The blue sleeveboard is a 79 workhorse, got it in a trade recently and I love it. Think of it as a more pocket friendly sunfish of sorts, it excels at its namesake. No bias on the chestnut sodbuster, they are just fantastic. Few knives have such magnificent bone that are currently produced. Your rams horn marbles is mighty fine.

By the way you made me look up meritorious:D

Hope you shake the norovirus soon, Jack. Some schools around here have shut down for a couple of days because of norovirus epidemics, and they do massive disinfects of all the desks, lockers, etc. while the kids are gone! That TC Barlow sets off the "music of the spheres"! (Although the black handles, TC initials, and body of water in the background also had me thinking "The Creature from the Black Lagoon"!:D)

Thanks pal, it seems to be a feature of modern life unfortunately, my friend, his missus, and their 3 young kids all had it a few weeks ago, felt really sorry for them. I'm feeling a bit like The Creature From the Black Lagoon right now! :D

Jack; you are one of my heroes. Down with noro-virus and still posting on BF? Hope you're feeling better as soon as possible my friend. Just getting caught back up on these threads.

Take it easy.

LOL! :D Thanks a lot Alan, I'm into day 3 or 4 now, so I'm hoping it doesn't go on much longer

Drink apple cider vinegar (diluted). And eat raw garlic, that ought to take care of your girlfriend troubles.

LOL! :D

Nice line-up GT

I got an RR Trapper in the 'Ramshorn Bone', and thought they did an excellent job of it. The real stuff looks great on your Marbles Canoe GT

Also on your Swowbelly Jeff

Reminded of this one yesterday, by a post in the non US thread, I've slipped this wee Ohta friction folder into my pocket today :)

Been carrying my new #71 like the one in the photo. Bit of a surprise to me actually that I like it so much. Been tempted to get that Mora.

Jack, I hope you're feeling better soon.

I've had this one for a few weeks but only this morning had a chance to put it to the stones. Still some work to do, but the main is plenty sharp to earn it its inaugural carry today.
