Todd, always like seeing the Oeser Red, White and Blue:thumbup:

Carrying the 77 Barlow and my Wards Hawkbill today : The fixed blade is one that I found in a parking lot in around 1972 . It has always been a Kitchen knife but Nancy used it one day as a pry bar and she asked me to put a point back on it . It was made by Victorinox and has been a Very Good knife .

While I had the Wards in the workshop I touched it up on the old Dazey Sharpener . There are better sharpeners in the world but this does a good enough job for what I use the Wards for . Picked the old Dazey up in an antique shop sometime a long time ago. Made by the same people who made the Dazey Butter Churns .

Harry

Harry...just have to love old hand crank machinery and I have not seen a hand crank knife sharpener "in a coons age".
what angle does it do?;) My wife is having me look for her mom's hand crank can opener, one that attaches to the wall. I found the old coffee grinder instead.:D

have a Crosman scout today...an unusual scout with a locking main blade, and small enough to fit the change pocket.

Thank you. Sometimes I think I have too many knives, and don't give them each the pocket time they deserve...

Then I see a new one I want. :D

...

Wonderful mod on that, and the micarta looks amazing in the sun.

Thanks! And, yeah, I know what you mean. You realize you have too many, find new homes for a few, then a few more show up on your doorstep... ;)

Yes, MAM! I'm not sure I've ever seen one without rectangular, blocky handles. I like it.

Fabulous. If you and Buzzbait don't cut it out, I might have to track down a scout knife of my own. ;)

Super knife! Like everything about this version, Pen frame (jury is still out off the satin bolsters though, might strop them to a shine...) and I'm very glad to hear yours is a tip top example. The Micarta looks most promising indeed. Just wish I could handle mine! :mad:Tracking informs me of insane behaviour  it took just 3 days from USA to Köln Germany, next day it arrives here in Finland in Helsinki, yippee! Uh uh, after 26 hours the imbeciles put it on a flight to Malmö southern Sweden! Then back to Germany Köln! Then to Stockholm Sweden, aha! only a short flight away! No, it's sent back to southern Sweden Malmö again! Now it's in Madrid Spain!! What??? Probably be in Brasil next:D:eek::eek::grumpy:

Hopefully the post man drops it at your door soon my friend

Do they have Pi Day in England? There is no 14th month. :D:D

LOL! :D I'm not sure if they have it r8shell, but pie is certainly very popular here. There used to be an old worker's cafe in Sheffield, which did pie to a couple of hundred places every day ;)

That pair is dripping with character Jack

Thanks Tom :)

I hope you found some good pie, Jack. Your TEWs are a prestigious pair; I really admire the stag on the second one!

Thanks GT, I had a small sausage and mushroom pie with gravy :) Someone uglied-up the blade on that one with a grinder, but it still cuts well

Interesting post Harry, I've never seen one of those before

GT you always have something nice to say to everybody, thank you.

+1 :)

Very nice Paul

These two for me today :)
