Thanks GT! Hold on, spring will come [emoji4] And I once heard a wise man say that cold weather build character [emoji56]
Mark
Touche'!

I forgot yesterday was your mathematical holiday!
You are so fortunate to have a knife that is appropriate to cut your 'Pi.'
Thanks, Gary! The Cadet II is on my list, also.
Today's carry...
Thanks, Dean; I feel very fortunate - I'm basically "living the dream"!

I'm not by nature a single-blade guy, but the Alox Solo certainly is appealing!

While I had the Wards in the workshop I touched it up on the old Dazey Sharpener . There are better sharpeners in the world but this does a good enough job for what I use the Wards for . Picked the old Dazey up in an antique shop sometime a long time ago. Made by the same people who made the Dazey Butter Churns .

...
Harry
That's a cool old sharpener, Harry!!

I don't think I've ever seen a small hand-crank one like that. When I was a kid, we had a big (at least 2' diameter in my memory

) pedal-driven grindstone hanging around the farm, although we always used an electric grinder by that time. Can you find stones for yours if you need them?
GT you always have something nice to say to everybody, thank you. Some good knives yourself, how do you like the MAM? I've been curious about those.
...
Yes, MAM! I'm not sure I've ever seen one without rectangular, blocky handles. I like it.
...
Thanks for the kind comment, Paul.
Paul & Greg, one of my knife hobby "things" is inexpensive working-class folders from around the world (mostly Europe, so far), and the Portuguese MAMs fit into that niche. To me, the MAMs are very similar to Opinels: simple, low-cost, incredible cutting tools. The one I posted is a 4" liner lock that reminds me a lot of a big toothpick pattern in terms of handle shape and clippish blade. I also have a somewhat smaller MAM friction folder with a big sheepsfoot blade (and a handle that's quite rectangular and blocky

).
... Just wish I could handle mine!

Tracking informs me of insane behaviour

it took just 3 days from USA to Köln Germany, next day it arrives here in Finland in Helsinki, yippee! Uh uh, after 26 hours the imbeciles put it on a flight to Malmö southern Sweden! Then back to Germany Köln! Then to Stockholm Sweden, aha! only a short flight away! No, it's sent back to southern Sweden Malmö again! Now it's in Madrid Spain!! What??? Probably be in Brasil next

:grumpy:
Thanks

But I don't think so, it's in Chicago now...insane
"Insane" seems too mild a word if this is all true, Will!!

It seems like some raving-mad too-early postal April Fool's prank!

I hope it gets on a direct path to you ASAP.
...
My Menefee in antique Westinghouse Micarta today.
Thank you Gary, I always admire how you plan your weeks carry:thumbup:
...
Paul, your Menefee is a drop-dead gorgeous work knife!
Thanks for the compliment; I have to plan my carry if I'm going to meet my goal that every knife I have gets carried periodically. Without planning, I think I'd end up carrying a quite small set of favorites most of the time, and not recognize the charms that my other knives have.
...
Double thanks Gary! That's a great looking Sowbelly!
Thanks, Ron. I have at least one Sowbelly that's even nicer , but I like 'em all, and they all get their chance to be carried.
...
have a Crosman scout today...an unusual scout with a locking main blade, and small enough to fit the change pocket.
I've never heard of Crosman before, but that looks like a superb little scout, Steve! Looks to be in fantastic shape, too.
Beguiling brace of Barlows, Dee!
I haven't carried the 15 in a bit.
Classy and distinguished, FBC!
Added this Rough Rider in my left pocket
Long match lighter pull. Half stops. Prop shield...
What model number is that one, Joe? I sure like the looks of it!!

 Is it single-spring, or is it a whittler pattern? How big is it? I'm hoping to order a bunch of Rough Riders this weekend, and I'd like to add one like yours to my list!!!
...
Thanks GT, I had a small sausage and mushroom pie with gravy

Someone uglied-up the blade on that one with a grinder, but it still cuts well
...
These two for me today

Sounds like tasty pie, Jack! I tend to think fruit when I hear "pie", but I actually like meat/vegetable pies better. When I was a college student, I was one of the few fans of shepherd's pie at the dining hall, and I try to get a pasty at least once each summer when we vacation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where Cornish miners apparently established that culinary tradition.
Looks like you have a productive pair today! I always enjoy glimpses of your Ulster BSA knife.
...
I am around the house for a couple of days. This wonderful Cranberry Gem has pocket duty today!
Such vibrant bone on that one, Ron!
I'm seeing a lot of great looking #13s on The Porch lately, so I'm carrying my 2013 Forum to avoid knife-envy.

...
That Forum congress jack is VERY elegant, r8shell; you don't need to envy anyone's knife!
I just cannot keep this one out of the pocket.
Sensuous whittler, MidTN!!
My watch pocket knife of the week is this Rough Rider dogleg lockback mini canoe:
(It's sharing the watch pocket with this Rough Rider small stockman that I carry every week (scrimshaw by r8shell - thanks!)
My peanut-ish knife of the week is a Taylor-Schrade Mighty Mite linerlock 18OT:
As always, I'm carrying this chestnut jigged bone CV Case SBJr (thanks, Bob):
