Nice one. Is that mexican bocote, what is the blade selection?

Ken, I couldn't agree more. I can only imagine what the Hornsby & Wragg feels like in hand when one gets down to work with it!

Thanks for the kind words about my old knives .

I must admit that I didnt actually tote those two today , they came out of my Traditional drawer and got oiled and then put back . The real reason I went looking was to retrieve my IXL that I inherited from my father 3 years ago today .
I carry it on very special family occasions and of course today on the adiversary of his death .

Ken

I'm sorry about your father's passing. It is a beautiful knife he left you. I have my grandfather's Robeson, and I pull it out any time I think of him.

Your comment is making that Black Cat purr, Jack. :D That's quite an impressive rural vista behind that impressive pair of knives in your photo!

...

I agree with Harry's comment that I don't recall seeing those knives of yours very often, Jack, but they're brilliant binary Barlows!

LOL! :D Thanks my friend :) The first pic was taken in the Yorkshire Dales. The second pair of knives were very generous gifts from Bonzodog and Bladeplay74 :)

Smashing Ken! :)

Very nice GT, I don't recall seeing that one before (but then I have a memory like a sieve)

Jack, thank you for compliment my friend and wonderful Smith and Wright:thumbup:

Thanks Paul

A special knife my friend, sorry for your loss

Inspired by Cambertree's excellent report on his A.Wright & Sons Tackler's Knife, I'm carrying mine by Wheatley Brothers. Have a good Sunday everyone

It's been a while since I posted here so it's quite long overdue but here goes...
The last few days, some traditional other than one of my Opinels or my Case sodbuster (what a versatile blade...) found their way in my pocket again.

The Buck 302 for starters, got quite some pocket time

As it seems, two years ago (well that went fast) I made a thread on 4 Peanuts by 4 different brands here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...he-Four-Horsemen-(well-four-Peanuts-at-least)

Been carrying these ones on and off a bit more too. Especially the Case.

What a great hobby this is

Still in recliner, hopefully last day of taking it this easy. Still have my 81 nearby. Filling my boredom with more reading today.

I fixed the blades yesterday and all 2.5" of this Monster is in my pocket.

As pertains to my GEC 73. It has a clip and had a Spey.
But I like spear points and modded the spey.

I've been carrying too many "proper sized" jack knives lately. It's about time I gave this big boy it's time in the sun.

Beautiful knives gentlemen. Inspired by recent post I am carrying these two today. Thanks for the nudge to get them out of the cabinet.
