Thanks Tom, I know I am not the only one putting these beautiful #13's to work :)

Still? Were you expecting otherwise? That knife is less than a month old.

I meant still going strong as in my daily edc! Haven't changed it out since it arrived is all. Sharpening the steel to a toothpick aside, I expect any GEC knife I own to last a lifetime with daily use

This Imperial came to me from a fleamarket seller. I got to talking with the guy, and when he realized I was a knife nut he wanted to see what I was carrying, so I showed him my powderhorn. He then told me he had some other knives and produced a roll of knives that he didn't display. this one had a snapped tip on the main, and a chip in the sheepfoot blade. He asked if I planned on using the knife, and I said yes, after I fix it up I would carry it. I re-profiled the tip, and took the sheepfoot blade in from the kick to eliminate the chip, these old blades were gound nice and thin, and take a wicked edge.
That is fantastic right there.

Thank you, Gary!
Could you believe they didn't even have to be weaned off milk?
They much prefer fruits & veggies. :)

MARCH has been MADNESS, but your WILDCARDS are definitely winners. ;)

Today I'm carrying my favorite TC Barlow. It is carried often because it can be pinched open, has an easy pull and it's a spearpoint. It's also blood red. :) GT christened it "True Crimson." Photographed with the pocket slip that is it's home more often than not.

I'm carrying this gorgeous olive green Farmer I received from GT today. What a wonderful gift from a great friend. He also gave me a Petoskey stone (something I saw all the time as a kid, but never kept one).

Thank you Gary. This one will be frequently carried.:thumbup:

That Gary is quite the chum isn't he?
He has great tastes in knives & naming them.
And of course you brought them to life with your photography, Dean.

Not bad, for a one hundred twenty-five. :D
Always nice to see your beautiful encrypted treasures, Gev.

Love what you've done with this one.
You must have tons of stories. :)

/\ To be totally honest. I don't get to use my knives all that much..
The humidity of Southeast Texas where I live makes my blades get sometimes rusty. I have some stuff I use with green scrubby to get the rust off. And occasionally fine sandpaper cleans up the edges.

Finally, a T-shirt weather day in the Dakota's:thumbup: was doing some yard work and found a small twig to debark on the bottom step of our deck.

The Orchard Gem made easy work of it.

Hello all--some pics from my hike this past Sat up Boney Mountain (highest peak in the Santa Monica Mountains) with my Randall 5-6. The peak was about 2900' and the entire hike up and back + a detour to a waterfall was nearly 12 miles (we think) and it took about 6 hours. The Randall 5-6 mostly helped with lunch, and I whittled a branch for a while during a break at an overlook.

Setting out:

Sorry if the last one was just out of focus--I was a little tired by then ;)

Thanks for the pics up Boney Mountain. It's been a wet winter in So Cal and the hills are quite green. (Well green for LA says the ex-Angelino)

My pleasure--and yes, we were all talking about how lush everything was after the rains! --Yes, for LA. There were hillsides full of wildflowers too.
