What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the comments on the hike. I wish I had the time today to tell you all how much I love your knives--but for now, I'll just say thanks for all the wonderful pics and posts. Here's my carry--as it has been since it arrived:

Have a great day everyone!

I know exactly what you mean about looking for aged knives, HST; I have a LOT more to learn before I'm confident about aggressively pursuing old knives, especially online. I hope you're enjoying your new weekly carry approach. ;)

Here are some of my knives for this week.
Euro knife of the week is a JJ Martinez ciervo navaja de campaña:

Stockman of the week is a Case sowbelly (thanks, Ron), and, as always, I'm carrying a SBJr I won in a BigBiscuit GAW:

Great choices, GT. Antique pocket knives are complicated. That was a lame attempt to use math in a joke, Professor.

Carrying this beauty from Joe Allen today

It sure is a beaut.

Solid choice. Mine is one of my top 5 pocket knives.

Slow day at the house. Normal pocket house gear 'artistically' done to a T. I know, another bad joke.

Have a great day, y'all.

Alan, that Joe Allen is stunning!!

I tried not carrying my Railsplitter. I really, really did. It's back in my pocket again today along with my Norfolk. The Norfolk has started to take on some scars.

I love that Norfolk !! Gotta get me one.

Nice sheepfoot Barlow, Dee! Who is the maker?

That Gary is quite the chum isn't he?
He has great tastes in knives & naming them.
And of course you brought them to life with your photography, Dean.

Agreed on Gary and thank you for the compliment, Dee!

Always a treat to see that red TC Barlow (and the lavish pocket slip)! Thanks for the info about the Ulster Scout, Dean; your affinity for the smaller scout models has me on the lookout for one. Thanks for the compliment on my 77 Barlow!

You're welcome; glad you like them, Dean! (Why do knives I've had always look better when someone else takes the pictures??:o)

Thank you, Gary!

Today was green knife Tuesday for me: a Case razor Barlow (thanks, Dee!) and a Victorinox Farmer (thanks, Gary!).

Lovin' that Rail Splitter, Rick! What is that bone called?

Thanks Lance!

It's Queen's Amber Carved Stag Bone. (ACSB) They changed it up a little bit from the old ACSB. I liked the old stuff too but I think I like the new stuff a little better. I haven't seen this new stuff on too many other knives but it goes good with this pattern.

My photo might be a little deceiving. I'm seeing very light hues of a mossy green color in that photo but there is no green anywhere on the knife. Must be either my eyes or the lighting.

Here's a more accurate photo. You might recognize the knife on top. ;)

Thank you for clearing that up Rick! I did think that it was a mossy green color. That's what had me stumped. Nonetheless, a great looking knife. I believe that I have seen that other knife before. 😜

Just picked up this Tuna Valley Rail Splitter at the Badger Knife show in Janesville Wisconsin, over the weekend.

Very nice, Lance!

That deep long pull looks great on that blade. And don't you just love that little Drop Point (Pen) blade!? Good stuff.
