What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have a Tidioute single blade in Smooth Bone. Looks very nice but smooth bone is tricky stuff, it slips from your hand , dropped it on the doorstep the very first day I got it. Not a nice crack at all!

Sorry to hear that.:( I've never had a problem with grip on mine.

I've been carrying my Camillus BSA knife for the past couple of days. Strangely enough, it's the only knife I've ever had hit the floor like that. It popped out of my watch pocket by accident and landed on the concrete floor. Every time I feel the small gouge it left in the edge of the bolster it reminds me of the incident. Even though I would rather have not had it happen, I just consider it a minor battle scar of a user. I can't imagine how upset I'd have been with myself if was a brand new knife though.

Here's an updated photo of the classic whittler that I'm totin'. I've only had it a few months and don't carry it every day but it is starting to show a little bit of wear. It is one of my regulars and it's on its way to that "pocket worn" look. I think I'm actually liking it even more now.

Another look at the grind on the main blade (it's the knife on the right).

Very nice :)

just my peanut today, sliced through a pizza like it was butter :D, and back in the jeans watch pocket it went.
hey supratentorial, that's a real thin blade you ve got there, very nice.

This lil Wiseman Barlow rides in the watch pocket these days. Nice solid weight, cool modern take with black(parkerize?) on black jigged bone with slight rays of color. The blades have a forward cant that give great cutting leverage. The small blade I keep thinking about. I'd call it a small leaf or recurve pen blade. Just a great shape. Fantasic F &F.

i don't know if it is the angle of the knife in your pic or what but i like the blades on that one!

Buck 301 "Chairman" series Stockman. It's pretty much in my pocket every day regardless of what other knife I decide to carry.

the Snap-On bonestag and stainless stockman again. I just finished using it to cut a bunch of knots out of some rope for my lobster traps. It is interesting to note that while this knife is "440 stainless" and made in china, it holds an edge and cuts better than a lot of better steels. The flat grind of the blade and a low edge angle let this knife cut through even the dirtiest of rope and longer than a larger blade of thicker stock and "better" steel.

Jake...
I am impressed with how that knife is changing...in the very nice way....Wow!!...that is quite a difference in that shorter time.., I have a John Loyd that has uneven coloured scales...and have purposely left the knife sitting ( lighter scale up) to try and " age " it quicker...bloody nice knife tho!
Today Im carrying this...Gifted to me by a great guy, my first knife with a punch, that now gets a bit of use, the knife is coming to its own now...the punch was extremely difficult to open, , but now with work, and time....its just perfect.I own a few GEC's, but this one, and my serpentine Jack are my favourites in my GEC range by far.

Great looking knife, Johnny. Who makes that one?

Header bolts?

I'm carrying my AGRussell Rancher in black. I have to say, the more I use this one, the more I like it. Carry it more than anything else now.

Chris.

"strange stag" #73 today again, awesome knife
the stag it has makes it comfy and easy to use as it does not look like a "safe queen" but a "use me use me" knife

very different fromt he usual grooved or bi color stag you see, don't know from which part of the stag it comes but looks cool to me
