What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Still in love with my Buck 309 companion in yellow
as folks have said before, small enough to disappear in your pocket until you need it, but big enough to cut anything I need to cut

My Sodbuster Jr. has been doing yeoman's work lately. Cutting steaks, opening carboard boxes, spoon carving, you name it.

This modified No9 is just the ticket for my sore thumb today.

I thought about taking the Higonokami since it carries better, but I prefer the thinner blade of the Opinel.

Just in time for fall. Picked this one up yesterday.

Case Cheetah Cub with persimmon orange bone.

Been using this one lots, cut up a heap of fruit over the weekend and have the nice colorful patina, some of the original patina was lost during the restoration so building it back to black!

I'm going to be EDC'ing this one for while... it's so thin in pocket and wicked sharp and pointy:)
I put this one together myself fron a broken 701 three blade'r

Well before I say what traditional folder im totin', since im new to blade forms let me introduce my self. My name is Nathan. I live in Prosperity, SC. I have been making knives for 3 years. Throwing knives for about 5 years. and collecting all my life. Now on to the important stuff i usually either carry a case trapper lock or a canal street swell center jack with inda stag.

Hey Nathan L,

Welcome to BF. There are a few here from SC and I'm sure you'll feel right at home.

You removed the broken blade? You did a real nice job on it!

This is an old pic. Haven't carried this one for a while. It sure is nice.

That knife is on my wish list. What's the thickness of the handle? I'm wondering if it is much thinner than the Calf Roper. Thanks!

Jake...
I am impressed with how that knife is changing...in the very nice way....Wow!!...that is quite a difference in that shorter time.., I have a John Loyd that has uneven coloured scales...and have purposely left the knife sitting ( lighter scale up) to try and " age " it quicker...bloody nice knife tho!
Today Im carrying this...Gifted to me by a great guy, my first knife with a punch, that now gets a bit of use, the knife is coming to its own now...the punch was extremely difficult to open, , but now with work, and time....its just perfect.I own a few GEC's, but this one, and my serpentine Jack are my favourites in my GEC range by far.

Have a great day everyone

I love that knife man...

Montana Holland briar pipe (oldie given to me by father in law), Yibao pipe lighter, Pipe tamper (I made it from a .222 shell and nephrite jade), Imperial scout knife and Zenith pocket watch (made 1920).

Very nice group shot. I'll try to get more of my pipes into my pics in the future. I like the tamper!!!

I'd love to see some pipes from the guys that smoke on here with their knife...the tamper really is nice to use and sits well in the pocket, kinda proud of that one :D

Guys, let's not look to start using traditional knives as an excuse and means for posting images and generating discussion of off-topic items.
If you want to share info on off-topic matters either do so privately or post in "Carl's Lounge" which was set up specifically for off topic discussion.
Let's keep this thread firmly centered on the traditional knives we are carrying on any given day lest we contribute to its demise.

(That said, please continue to feel free to post an image of your chosen pipe alongside the traditional knife that is your companion on that particular day. Thanks.)

Nice knife Nathan. I like the flat bolster on the end, kinda looks like a shorter version of the doctors knife. I live in Abbeville and it's good to see someone from SC on here. Welcome to the forums.
