What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I work from home on Wednesdays so in a way I get to carry all my knives! But this is the one I have at my desk right now.

Great seeing the denim micarta! I have both a clip and wharncliffe on the way both in DM.

Here's another. I call it A Dogleg for a Dogwood. The blooms are outstanding and so is the knife.

It hasn't left my pocket, since I took the pics earlier.

I've got my birthday carries picked out for an early start tomorrow :)

Thanks for the compliment on the #71 and blood orange  After five years it produced its first decent crop and for that I am greatful.

I wanted to wish you a very happy( slightly early) birthday my friend!!! I hope that you have an outstanding day tomorrow and I really like all of your carry choices for the big day. That stag and lined bolster on the Lambsfoot is top notch to say the least. I also really enjoy and appreciate the composition of the imperial placed on that old WW2 newspaper:thumbup:

Thanks, Barrett. I thought an Arizona resident might have a little love for the Cubs since they're down there for spring training. Cool pic of your new 48(?), and I admire the loyalty that's evident in that old cap. Does cap and knife together indicate a name change to the St. Louis Weasels? ;)

Gary, I will say that the Cubs' new stadium in Mesa looks really nice, but it's darn near impossible to get tickets this year, and Spring Training games are overpriced to begin with. I am looking forward to the regular season. I'm not a Diamondbacks fan any more than I am a Cubs fan, but the stadium is nice enough, and the Cardinals are playing here on my birthday, so I'm looking forward to that.

I grew up in Arkansas, where we don't have any professional sports teams of our own, but I've been a Cardinals fan all my life. Somewhere I've got some photos from the first game my parents took me to in St. Louis. I was maybe two or three months old. :D

Now I don't know about the St. Louis Weasels, but there's a minor league team back home called the Arkansas Travelers, and a couple years ago they announced a new mascot called (and I'm not kidding here) Otey the Swamp Possum. Here he is in all his stereotypical glory:

We lived in Little Rock until I was 8 years old (before moving to Northwest Arkansas), and we went to a lot of Travelers games when my brother and I were kids (long before the days of Otey the Swamp Possum). Back then they were part of the Cardinals organization (they've since changed affiliation), and they had a wonderful old 1930's-era ballpark. Sadly, the team moved to a new facility in North Little Rock in 2006, and old stadium was torn down a few years later and replaced with a parking lot. :(

As it's Thursday already here, it'll be something simple and glowy :D:D

Beautiful knife, Will! I'm envious! ;) :D

I'm still carrying my Bloodwood #48, but haven't taken a new picture the last few days, so here's one I've posted before.

Well, I'm a Cubs fan living in Arizona, but i grew up in Geneva (about 35 miles outside Chicago), watching/listening to Harry Carry and Steve Stone. I've gone up to Mesa a couple times to see them during spring training (Ronnie Woo Woo was there!). I've seen them here in Tucson too, playing the Rockies. Sadly, there's no more spring training by any team in Tucson anymore.

Diamondbacks vs Cubs games in Phoenix are always fun because there's more Cubs fans than DBs fans. Same way at Rockies games at Coors field. Probably the same way in other cities, but I haven't seen the Cubs play outside of IL, AZ, and CO.

As a Cubs fan, the Cardinals were always the sworn enemy (along with the Brewers and the Mets), but I always liked going to the Cubs vs Cardinals games at Wrigley because Ozzie Smith was such an amazing player. Plus he'd do backflips for us.

Barrett Very kind, but it's not so shiny on the blade these days...:D Still glows in the dark mind  I like the single-blade version and no bail, all steel and slim.

Long admired Bloodwood, it has a really nice sheen and depth to it, but I've not yet ben able to get a knife in it. Bit like Zebra. The 48 is an elegant frame, particularly as single, no wonder you prize that one!

Nice to see that spectacular knife again Drew

Oooh. Fantastic 🤙🤙🤙. Happy Birthday my friend! Can you tell us more about the metrics of your birthday? I was born in 1953 for example. There[emoji41]

Thank you Alan, but I'm giving nothing away! ;) :D

Nice selection Jack - you've got the high and the low covered with that pair.

That Stan Shaw's just a beautiful Sheepsfoot, and I'm hoping you'll use that Imperial at some point to crack open a tasty, celebratory beverage, and raise a glass with us absent Porch friends. ;):)

Happy Birthday, mate!

I've been enjoying some Lambsfoots in my EDC lately - sometimes you gotta go back to the roots...

Thanks a lot Chin, great to see your Unity Lambsfoot :)

Happy Birthday!!!

My you have many more healthy and knife heavy ones :D This place would just not be the same without you

Many thanks my friend :)

Lovely pic
