What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the baseball memories, Barrett and Planterz! Barrett, that Swamp Possum is representative of lots of inexplicable-to-me mascots that sports teams have. Our local Class A West Michigan Whitecaps have Crash the River Rascal, who seems to be some kind of hybrid rodent!??!

There are certainly some strange mascots out there, particularly in Minor League baseball, it would seem. About 10 years ago Arkansas got a new Minor League team, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Their mascot is a Sasquatch.

I love the shade of yellow on that Imperial!

I've got the Weasel in my pocket again today.

Simply stunning, the Blue just pulls it all together so nicely.

Thank you sir. I just realized that photo is not very well focused. I think the camera focused on the railing instead of the knife.

This is better.

This came out just like I wanted it. It's black, linen micarta scales, and the stripes are alternating steel and blue micarta. Tough to make the way Todd makes them. Each insert is pinned.

Two nice ones Buzz

Cool pic

Two great SFOs Dean, reminds me my Ancients are due some pocket time

Thanks pal, I like your knives, Practical over Tactical ;)

I've got my birthday carries picked out for an early start tomorrow :)

Happy to see that old Imperial made it into your pockets on your birthday. Hope your day was great!

Nice Wednesday wood, Dee!

Speaking of handsome, that pair certainly is, Dean! The colors match so well - a bewitching binary set of brown knives!

Thanks, Gary. Your Imperial sodbuster looks smooth...

Carrying my micarta Davison today at the River House.

That is an eye-catching knife, Alan!

I had a Forum Knife on the trail today.

Mr. Dude, please tell us about this knife. I can just feel it, solid in hand.

I'm still carrying my Bloodwood #48, but haven't taken a new picture the last few days, so here's one I've posted before.

Barrett, that Bloodwood is so unique, not seen it before. Lovely.

Joe, all your knives seem like solid users, this one is no exception. Reminds me of what knives are truly for.

What am I carrying this week

Alan, that's a real work of art. I'm now on his mailing list and hope to get one soon.

My carry today, my trusty 73 Scout:

I'm going to try to carry this one for awhile to get a real feel for it. I love it as a daily carry. Sturdy wooden handle, a usefully long blade, and a patina I'm not worried about marring.

Thanks Tom: I like Todd Davison's work. I have another of his in ironwood. F&F is really good and W&T is amazing. It's exactly the same on both knives.

I like your Scout! Is that Cocobolo?

Stopped at the Point of the Gap at the Delaware Water Gap on my way home from physical therapy today, this is Indian Head rock lookin' at Kittatinny Mountain looking over from NEPA, oh and the 09 Queen/Schatt Morgan Barlow forum knife came along for the ride and a photo op.:)

Jack: Isn't that a beauty that Drew has there? Wow!
Not wanting to presume, but I suspected. You're a youngster No wonder you're always trapesing all over the countryside :)

LOL! :D I'm certainly finding it harder Alan - but then I had a big paper-round! :D

Thanks, Jack. :) Tactical made me giggle when I saw my first example, but I reacted the same way the first time I heard rap music; I thought both were parodies, which shows how out-of-touch with pop culture I am!
Excellent birthday choices: the S^4 (Stan Shaw Stag Sheepsfoot) is superb, and the "birth date" knife is ultracool!

Happy to see that old Imperial made it into your pockets on your birthday. Hope your day was great!

Thank you my friend, I still can't believe my luck in winning it. Thanks again :)

It's still the 77 for me. I love this knife. :D

That's a GEM, Alan!
And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm partial to blue.

Nice Wednesday wood, Dee!

Thanks, Dean!

The SS makes that one a prime candidate for the terrain.
And it looks good, too.

Looks right at home.
