But I might disagree with you on your comment about Jack’s knives, depending on what you mean by his “other one”. If you’re referring to his other buffalo lambsfoot (pictured above), I agree with you. But NOTHING glows like his oxhorn!!!
OK, I obviously don't understand what's going on with the new website and images!
As is often my custom, I ended up with a big post with lots of quotes, so I copied it into a text editor as I've often done to facilitate adding my comments without losing them due to being "timed out" or some other tech disaster. But when I pasted my completed post back into the "reply box", many of the images disappeared. Oh, well, some day I'll figure it out (or I'll die and then it won't really matter).
Yowza, Dee, that is a magnificent knife!!
For some reason, my rotation schedule (which is in need of a major update) has me carrying a bunch of knives with bails/keyring loops - more than I have attachment points for!

Gary, it's called charred toast and it is a delicacy.![]()
Thanks for the back story, Cory.Thank you, GT. It is a golf course, Geneva National to be exact. I don't get out golfing often, but on Saturday my father-in-law mentioned that he was heading there on Sunday and I told him that it's a really nice course. He got a call a little later saying that their fourth had cancelled and insisted that I join them. We were hosting Easter for my family on Sunday, so it made for an interesting day getting to church, then golfing, then getting home in time to avoid my wife throwing a frying pan at my head.
The knife is the Doc Hagen Lanny's Clip that I won in a Kris (MTDamascus) give away a while back. It has been my most regularly carried knife since I received it, and I'm just in love with it. It's one of a couple knives that I haven't ever gotten over being gifted. It is also the knife that has steered me away from collecting a large pile of production knives and towards acquiring a small selection of custom knives.
Thanks, Jack....
Thanks for your kind words on my Lambsfoot knives, glowing and not so glowing! That's a great line-up

I missed Stag Saturday last week (I suppose most of us did), so it's great to see your stag pair, Alan!
Awesome Kabar scout, Buzz!I'm still feeling the Kabar 1152 today.

Good to see you back, OMR! I hope you're 100% ASAP!... I apologise for being off line for some time but a nagging ache became more of a constant pain, so I finally elected to have surgery to put it right and it knocked me sideways but I am on the mend .

Harry, if those are beauty contestants, I'm gonna vote for the 2-blade!! Lovely pair!
Don't know why, but I REALLY like this shot, Ted!...
Still toting this 77 Case Copperhead, stopped on my way home from physical therapy and snapped a few shots at the Delaware Watergap.

Thanks for the compliment....
5K Qs , I am trying some work around shared by a fellow member but haven't nailed it down just yet unfortunatly. Wonderful carry as always
The 13 again but that may change tomorrow. I just sharpened up the 18 in my desk and it's asking for some pocket time. The background is a sketch for a shower for a client. Seams and trim placed to maximize the yield and cut down on the amount of raw material to buy.

Beauty! Love this one!
Harry--how do you like that S&M? I was on the fence about it a while back and passed. What's your impression--how does it compare to a GEC Barlow? Thanks, and love the Taylor!

Thank you Sir for the question and for the kind remarks on my Old Eye Witness . I bought the S & M and a new Case Barlow within a month of each other . I guess I was lucky and got a very nice S & M . I have always felt that the S & M is a better knife than the Case by far . It has a 1095 Blade and I think that there has been some made with even better steel , but I am happy with 1095 . I do not have a GEC TC Barlow , but I do have 9 of the GEC 77 Barlows . The 77's are a little longer than the S & M and a better fit for me . Of the 9 GEC's , 1 of them is a Factory Second and it is almost impossible to find the flaw . I feel that all 9 of them are better than the S & M . I am convinced that anyone who may be collecting Barlows , which I do , should have a S & M in their collection . I understand that some guys have had issues with their purchases made sight unseen , but I did not and they are a better knife than Case but not better than GEC .
Harry
I'm going to try to use a thumbsup in every comment today, just to celebrate the return of that essential emoticon/emoji/little.picture.thingie!

This photo reminds me not to complain about BF changes, since they're "water under the bridge" at this point!
Time for me to follow the motto I've always told my daughter I try to live by: "Shut up and play the cards you're dealt!"
