What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Impressive, and obviously useful, pair, Rachel! It would be instructive to me to read a “diary” of all the ways you use your knives over a week or two, because you seem to get a natural patina relatively quickly. Have you discovered a new way of posting photos? I don’t understand a thing about this “ATTACH” stuff that showed up when I quoted your post. Looks like Randy also is posting differently?
I don't do anything special, just cut some fruit. Oh, and I like to cut my burgers and sandwiches into quarters (it's more lady-like :p ) So it gets to cut onions and jalapeños.
I was experimenting with uploading pictures directly to the thread, but it seems those can't be quoted the same way as a Photobucket link?
Today I'm carrying my Case Punch Stockman, because I'm expecting its yellow brother in the mail soon. Case only offers this knife in cv in amber bone, and yellow Delrin. As I learned with the Chestnut cv Sway Jack Jack, you never know when a popular pattern will be discontinued.

That's a nice one r8shell, looks like a handy configuration. I especially love the Turkish Clip. :)

Today's carry, a very old 4 line EE Camillus Pen.

My Esky Zulu has been my primary home use knife for the last month, as I've further developed my freehand sharpening skills. I absolutely this knife. My particular knife is heat treated a bit on the hard side, which I very much prefer. But no chipping issues, and almost no wire edge when sharpening on both a soft and hard Arkansas bench stone. The fact that I can pinch open the blade is huge for me, from a usability standpoint. The opening is a bit stiff for my tastes, but not too bad.

And dat blade shape!!!! So incredibly handy for almost every task. Just enough belly to get the job done, and a nice pointy tip that isn't too fragile.

Wonderful selections by everyone today. For me the 66 Slim got its turn in the pocket.:)

That is a really good looking 66, Ron! I'm leaning towards thinking the Tidioute version of the Slim (especially in the bone) is the best looking one.

Cherry..... fruit..... I see what you did there, Dean.

I did that photo of my TC 14 black cherry as a test and it has become my favorite one I have taken of that knife!

I'm going to try to use a thumbsup in every comment today, just to celebrate the return of that essential emoticon/emoji/little.picture.thingie!:D

Thanks for the clarification, Dean. :)
Your mini-TC has a pleasant patina already!

I'm going to get my yellow one out, Rachel. The punch on these is my favorite design because it is so pointy!

I am only carrying one knife today, my red Vic Cadet; it's just right for a day in shorts.

I like the pointy punch, too. It's the perfect tool for opening up clogged epoxy tubes.
My yellow fellow just got here. I had to take a picture right away while it's still shiny. Soon it will have a lovely contrasting patina. :)
