That's a beauty, Ron. I like my cocobolo nice and red, just like yours!

Today I've got some red as well, an alox Cadet, along with my Simmons Hornet stockman.

I really need to stop buying knives to support my hot rod project and you go and post a beaut of a stockman like that!

Alan, these Hornet knives were made in the Olbertz factory (I believe) in Solingen, Germany for Simmons Hardware Co. by Jim Parker in the early '90s. They have carbon steel, probably 1075, and really good fit & finish. Pretty much the same quality as GECs today, and very reasonably priced on the secondary markets . . . when you can find one!

Thanks, Gary! You're packing some fine cutlery yourself!

Thank you so much, Dean! Sounds like a good hike and certainly a fine knife that went with you ! Great photo

Thanks, Gev! Except for the mosquitos, it's always good to be out in the summer.

A New Day Barlow today. Love this knife!

That is a magnificent photo of a well loved Barlow!:thumbsup:

She cheats!!! Carrying my 73 on the table.

My goodness, she is growing fast, Brett! If she wins does she get that fine knife?

Bob, you always make a gorgeous knife look gorgeous(er)! :)

Picked up a new "hiking" knife today, an ESEE Izula in 440c stainless steel. I am trying to take advantage of our local parks this summer and wanted something that doesn't have a leather sheath and that I wouldn't mind losing/breaking/sweating on, etc. I added the G10 scales, the plan is to loop some cord through my belt to the sheath and carry it in my right front pocket when hiking. We'll see how that goes :).

RDaneel RDaneel lol, Im not sure which of my girls will get this one. She does cheat and change the rules so Im not sure she is the favorite for it just now. :D;)
