Jack, thanks you so much for sharing not only your wonderful knives, but these photos of such beautiful and historical places! :)

Thank you Ron, you're very kind :) Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm off to Sheffield again today. Have a great Sunday everyone

Saturday evening walk with the pup! A Hawthorne in my side....pocket. ;)

Dan that is a fantastic photo my friend! Your Hawthorne is one that is the most desirable to me because of the bare end configuration. IMHO, the way this pattern should be!!!:)

I spent 5 hours at work this morning and I had a pocket full of Micarta with me. The blade tip on this #54 was proud in the closed position by a few thousands. Just enough to be able to pick with my fingernail. This is minor but once I discovered it I found it was like a magnet any time I was Totin this knife. This morning at work I remedied this in about 15 seconds with a Swiss File! This knife is one that will definitely see a lot of pocket time! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! :D

Cool pic of your Black Cat, W.M.B.!

Was actually Buffalo horn scales, rather than Ebony. Sadly - "last" because it was the only one remaining in my collection, and I sold it today. I might someday revisit the pattern, but I wanted to refocus what I hold onto and why.
Thanks for the reply, liamstrain.

...This morning I am carrying my Stag 76 Outlaw Jack. ;)

I always wondered why the 76 is under appreciated. It's as traditional as it gets, being a two blade jack. It's a comfortable size at 3 1/2" closed with a nice full clip main and a pen secondary. And as your photo shows, it's awesome. Here's mine.

Classic 2-blade jacks, Ron & Alan, with lovely stag!!:thumbsup:

... I've had these two with me in York today

Couple of fine ebony siblings, Jack!

GT, that's a lovely runabout you have there. A better pic or two please over in the Lounge. BTW looks like support is mounting for your multi-singles posts test run. Do we need to set up a survey thread? :)
....
Tom, at first I was confused by your runabout comment , but then I realized you were referring to the wooden boat in the pic of my Case SBJr. That's not my boat; it belongs to the owners of the lakefront cottages where we vacation each summer for a week or two. I often take some knife photos on their dock, and that boat happened to be in the background. (We DO own a red plastic sea kayak! ;))
You're welcome to set up a poll about my posting style, but I have to confess that I'm one of those jerks that mostly impervious to peer pressure!

Absolutely my friend, just need to see if it works first :). Love seeing pics of The Math Knife

The book is terrible, the picture is shoddy at best, but the knives are nice :).

Thanks for the comment on the Euler's Identity knife, Tom. :) I look forward to hearing about your sharpening experiment. I always enjoy your black/orange combo when it shows up!

Intriguing LF&C, Ramrodmb!!:thumbsup: "Universal" blade etch? Are the covers what they called "rough black"? Do you have any idea how old your knife is, or know anything about the time span during which LF&C knives were made? I think I've read that their pocket cutlery division was operative from 1912-1950 (even though the company itself did business 1865-1965). I have an LF&C pen knife with celluloid covers, but have no idea about where it might fall in that 1912-1950 range.

I went with a couple of stag today. A J. Lloyd and an Eric's Jack.

Very handsome pair for your travels, Jack! I hope your "Sheffield shuffle" is safe and enjoyable! ;)

My fingers were sweaty when I tried to open my Beer Scout. The blade slipped out of my fingers before it reached the half stop. I'm not sure what happened next but the blade was clamped down on my finger. Be careful out there.

Ouch! I hate when that happens!

This combo today (so far!).
