That's a beauty. Is that bone?

Fantastic Lambsfoot! I saw your post regarding it, Jack is a capital fellow! He surely makes the Porch a finer place.

I am sporting a couple of recent acquisitions today. My new #54 and a Camillus Stockman.

Thanks Dylan, some gorgeous detail in that photo

Sound Logic Ron: and a really nice example of GEC's 440C.

Thanks Alan :)

Thanks Buzz! I am rather happy with it myself. I have no idea how old it is but it is in great shape and will make for a terrific user. Another pic because, well, just because... Why not?

That's a nice Camillus, Pàdruig. I think it's from 1970s/1980s.

Fantastic !!! What a rose garden !
Thanks very much my friend . There happen to be 36 bushes in that garden then we also have another 9 divided amongst 2 other flower gardens . After we retired we started the roses just to keep me busy . Most of them were chosen because they are very fragrant varieties.

Well, work (and life in general) has hit a busy patch again, so I'm going to quote some posts that I should have dealt with last night. Maybe I can catch up on at least THIS thread tomorrow morning before work.

5K Qs 5K Qs buddy, it is an amazing place and I really enjoyed it. They opened up there a few years ago as their Eastern HQ and distribution center. They, and many other breweries, moved there for the H2O. The best water I have ever drank.

Brett, thanks for the info on the "East Coast" version of Sierra Nevada, and thanks for the wonderful vista pic!

Yes sir 5k qs, that is my German bull sod buster. It was a Christmas gift from my wife a couple years ago. I like it. There are some short comings in the fit and finish department but it looks great and works well. It actually holds an edge about as well as my Buck110. I've used it for all sorts of things, from butchering to carpentry, opening letters, breaking down boxes, and today I used it shaping a board to fit a cart at work, and cutting plastic to seal of doors while we sand sheet rock. It doesn't get pampered but works great.
Thanks for the testimonial, W.M.B.! Sounds like the utility of your German Bull is no bull. ;)

Kickin' it with Rosie today.

Hope y'all are having a good week.
Rosie looks better every time I see her, FBC! Did you treat the handle with any kind of preservative or finish? Looks darker than I remember, but my memory is not very trustworthy these days!

A Boker single blade peanut in 440C with Grenadil wood covers (AKA African Blackwood) This series was made for Boker's 145th anniversary. This particular one is #107 of the 145 that were made. Sharp little devil. Good looking, too.

That IS a good-looking knife, Frank! If I had my druthers, I'd welcome a little pen (or sheepsfoot) opposite the clip to make it look even better!

Kerry's Teardrop

That's a handsome knife, Will!

...
Thanks GT, those two look good together :)
...
Thanks, Jack. :) I should someday take a "family photo" of my Case chestnut jigged bone CV knives. In addition to the Sowbelly stockman and the SBJr, I also have a swayback jack (thanks, Paul) and a peanut; what a lovely family they are, and I hope to expand the family as time goes by (mini trapper next on the list, I think, although I've heard rumors of CV canoes with chestnut jigged bone covers made in the past - wouldn't THAT be a find!!).

Carrying these two today, another A Wright Lambsfoot and an Albert Oates Pen :)

Cool complementary couple, Jack. And your bloody story was quite entertaining as well!;)

This one's been back in my pocket for the past week.

That's a great knife with a very versatile blade combo, hhmoore! I recently picked up a Rough Rider "improved muskrat" with clip and sheepsfoot blades on opposite ends that I'm very pleased with!

Good morning, Porchdwellers.

View attachment 720203 I'm carrying my new (to me) blue SAK. I think it's a Farmer.
And some ebony, because it's Wednesday.
Congrats on the new blue Farmer, r8shell! I think that's a fantastic SAK, but that ebony 38 is certainly no slouch either!

...
Still experimenting with my home-made $5 light box, zebrawood and ebony for Wednesday.

That black Beer Scout is one of my favorites of yours, Tom! That's a great photo, although it's certainly a bit different from the pics you used to post. It would be cool to see an old version and a new version of the same photo. Your light tent seems to make your photos more "artsy", if that makes any sense.

Well that was before I cut myself! :D ...
Nearly lost an arm! :D
:D:D:D

So there you were marching down the trail, with your middle finger elevated... I'll bet you got some odd looks, if that means the same thing on your side of the pond as it does around here.
:D
:D:D:D
Thanks for the entertainment, Jack & Rachel!!:thumbsup:

...
Thank you, Gary! I'm not sure if I like the Pioneers more than the Cadets or vice versa... I like your Case 'twins'.
...
At home with my sheepfoot, TC.

Thanks, Dean. The bone on that particular TC of yours is very memorable to me!

... So I will be Totin stainless more often during the coming months!:D

That's an interesting, and understandable, development, Ron!:) I'm going to miss some of your fine patinas, I think! But that Viper leaves little to be desired!:thumbsup:

Carried this today while I was checking out some of our roses .

Harry
Great pic, Harry! Both your roses and your TEW are outstanding!

Roses are red,
Your Taylor is purple.
Let it be said
That GT's a curple!
(You can look it up! I had to. :D:D)

What knives am I carrying this week that I haven't posted yet? Let's see...
European Knife of the Week is also my stag/horn knife of the week - it's a JJ Martinez ceirvo navaja de campaña:
YCF3DK8.jpg

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Belknap Blue Grass Barlow with delrin covers and blades that need more work than I currently have the skills to give them, I think:

Thanks, Gary. I rub a little mineral oil on her every now and then. She probably doesn't want me giving away her beauty secrets though. :D:rolleyes:
That JJ Martinez is such a good looking knife. Every time you post it it makes me want to hunt one down.
