Thanks, Ratbert & Tom. :)
Tom, your Utica looks indestructible!! :thumbsup::thumbsup: Are the covers bone or delrin?

Have a great holiday everyone, have fun and be safe:thumbsup:

A vintage Camillus Sword Brand EO Jack on a wonderful Summers night, slight breeze and a great cigar on my deck:cool:

Extraordinary knife, Paul!! :cool::thumbsup:

Thanks GT. They feel a bit smaller than a 34OT, as you might expect, since the 34OT is longer and has more blades. But, not nearly as much smaller as I'd expected. The single-blade model still feels plenty comfortable in my hand. I wear a medium in gloves and get a 3 1/2 finger grip on the 14. I really like its slim profile in the pocket.

They did make two-blade, non-Barlow 14s. In fact, I think some are still available new from dealers.

Speaking of 34OTs, that's what I've got in my pocket today:

Thanks for your perspective on the GEC #14, Greg! :thumbsup:
Fine photo of your Old Timer and green tomatoes. :cool: My stockman this week happens to be a 34OT, too! :eek:

That's a compelling Case canoe, Tom!!! Wow! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::eek::thumbsup:

As mentioned above, my Stockman of the Week is a Schrade USA 34OT (thanks, Dave):

I've noticed a "glitch" in my relatively-new rotation schedule when I picked up my knives for this week. My miscellaneous knife (a brass knife with dogs), my non-Alox SAK (Pocket Pal), and my Alox SAK (Secretary; thanks, Ken) are all essentially the same size and shape and blades! :rolleyes: Not very good planning on my part to have them all in my pockets the same week, but here they are:

Thanks GT. While I could undoubtedly destroy my Utica in the Vise of Methuselah :p, it's one of those that's simply meant to be used, like a good set of wrenches. Fittingly the scales are Delrin. I find I'm drawn to the spear point lately over a clip.

Thanks Henry. I'd not been to Baryonyx before. I just had a look. Funny thing is, they describe the Okapi Genet as a sheepsfoot, but they're showing clipped blades. The Svord caught my eye too, very nice looking when open. Just don't know about the protruding tang when closed.

I think they recycled the Biltong copy for the Genet.

I have one coming, as well as the big one that looks like a slipjoint version of the ratchet knife. I have yet to catch him with the Biltong in stock. Ot would have been nice to get the blade tuned up initially.

The mini Svord is not hard to carry. I put a paracord fob on it and stand it up on my pocket. The full-sized one is too big for my taste.

"The Vise of Methuselah" could eat a Strider. o_O

Another view of the T.A. Davison that has become my daily carry. And why not. It is nearly the perfect pocket knife for me. Medium, consistent, pinch-able pull, great steel, stays super sharp, pretty much bullet proof! I have a few GEC and Case that carry or have carried and used, but the vast majority of my newer knives are "safe queens" I admit it. Like a lot (not all of us) I always think "well, what if I decide to sell it"? But, I would not be inclined to sell any of the four customs I have, ever. So why not carry and use them? This one just really works for me. This one is 3 13/16 closed. Just right for my pocket slip with space pen. < Can you tell I like it? :rolleyes:
