What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Jack, they are very good :). I usually just let the patina form naturally over time, but this one is forming only where I pinch it open, and it hasn't cut any food until today. Gorgeous white covers on the William Rodgers

So this is my strawberry-sangria-patina experiment, 15 minutes like this:

And it created this:

A little darker in spots than I was aiming for and I think I missed a few areas, but I kinda like it. 4 passes using a leather belt on a power strop and it takes off arm hair again with ease :).

Thanks my friend, your Joker is looking good :)

As always, a pair worth studying from you, Jack!:cool:

Thanks GT, nice show of horns ;) :)

Nice to see your Scout Tom

Got this little EDC sized fixed blade in the mail this morning so it's in the pocket with my SBJ.

Congratulations, great lines

If I ever do get tired of carrying the red Jigged bone clip, I will probably switch to this T.A. Davison I ordered as made.

Have a great day folks!
I never thought I'd say this but I'm beginning to really lust after alabone. :)

Not often you post a folder and a fixed about the same size Kris. Hope you have a wonderful 4th in your new place.

This is true, Sean makes a great knife and the Sparrow is a perfect size. Gary(Peregrin) has one too. Thanks Alan, I hope you enjoying the day.

Thanks Alan, have a great day yourself.

It does have a unique look to it. This is Paua select from Culpeppers, it has the widest strips that I have found but comes at a premium. Can't remember what I paid for the paua, but I think it was around $135.

That picture looks like a 1983 vintage Volkswagen GTI. I had a red one and loved it - wish I had it today. Great little pocket rocket VW!
'84, but same as yours. Only 90hp here (110hp across the pond if I recall correctly), but what fun to drive. That car, which had unassisted rack and pinion steering, had the best steering feedback of any car I've driven. That was the first of 3 GTIs (the other two being MkII and MkV), but was the one I liked best.

We had an '84 Jetta Turbo Diesel, when the turbo kicked in it looked like a mosquito sprayer....it was a great handling car though.

Ron, That's a very special Case my friend! Enjoy the fireworks on your National Day.

Regards, Will
