What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks my friend, your Joker is looking good :)

Nice to see your Scout Tom

I'm lagging behind with this thread, but thinking of all my great friends in the USA :) Happy 4th July folks :)

Thank you my friend, outstanding pairing today

Carrying this City Knife and an orange ALOX pioneer which my girlfriend has dubbed "cute" and absconded. Not sure if I'll get it back or not  :).

Thanks Tom :) Cool pic my friend, and your girlfriend has great taste! ;)

Thanks GT. While I could undoubtedly destroy my Utica in the Vise of Methuselah :p, it's one of those that's simply meant to be used, like a good set of wrenches. Fittingly the scales are Delrin. I find I'm drawn to the spear point lately over a clip.
Thanks for the additional Utica info, Tom. My first knife was a scout with a spear main, and a spearpoint is still my favorite blade. (Clip is quite a ways down my list; I'd probably put drop point and spey ahead of clip, as well as some leaf-shaped European blades I have. Lambsfoot is coming on strong lately, too! ;))

1995 Queen built Winchester stockman today.

That Winchester is a winner, Jeff!!:thumbsup:

I've carred this Barlow for the last several days. It's an older photo but the knife still looks great!

That's an admirable Ancient, Curtis!!:cool:

Another view of the T.A. Davison that has become my daily carry. And why not. It is nearly the perfect pocket knife for me. Medium, consistent, pinch-able pull, great steel, stays super sharp, pretty much bullet proof! ... This one just really works for me. This one is 3 13/16 closed. Just right for my pocket slip with space pen. < Can you tell I like it?

Yes, Alan, I can tell you like it ;), and I can certainly see why!!!:thumbsup:

THAT one is definitely a pocket-worn Case, Gev!:thumbsup: Is there just a single pin in the shield?

I've never gotten both of them at the same time in this picture.View attachment 728841
Congrats on your milestone 2-dog knife photo, Travman!:cool:
(That makes me think of the musical ensemble Three Dog Night, who sang "One Is the Loneliest Number", which reminds me of your lone-wolf white dog lurking in your other pics. ;))

Older Senator Pen today
That's one of my favorites of yours, oldtymer!:thumbsup: Thanks!

I've always been puzzled by how little respect lady leg knives get here. But I don't see how anyone could NOT admire your gorgeous example, Alan!!!:thumbsup: And it's timely, too: when I was a lad, "Drink a Nehi on 4th of July" was pure poetry! :D

Today is the day to carry this Weidmannsheil ...

Wondrous Weidmannsheil, Pt-Luso! What is that beast on the shield? Is that a Weidmansheil "trademark"?

Here Is What I'm "Totin" Today It's A "Boker Tree Brand Smooth Smoky Grey Bone Trapper" With Carbon Steel And No Halfstop.

Yesterday, today, and for thirty-one tomorrows.
Looking forward to reading about your "marathon", Greg!:cool:

Thanks GT, nice show of horns ;) :)

Thanks, Jack. I was raised on a dairy farm and saw plenty of horns (and the damage they could do until we decided to start dehorning all our livestock), but this is my first encounter with ram's horn. :D
Thanks, too, for the birthday wishes for the US. I'm not nearly as enamored of TC Barlows as many of us are and I don't consider them to be "a right of man", but that ebony spear/pen you posted is certainly one I'd consider a privilege!!:cool::thumbsup:

This one just arrived yesterday. The posted specs didn't raise any alarms; but it's sort of a beast. Overall larger than I anticipated, and it weighed in at 3.5 oz.
Congrats hhmoore!!:thumbsup: Superb stag, stimulating shape, and I really am intrigued by the long curve of the secondary blade's edge!

...
Happy Birthday America!!! :D Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Same to you, Ron! That is a fantastic all-American redbone Case!! Sets off plenty of fireworks for me! ;):cool:

One my last full day of mini-vacation in the Adirondacks, I declare this to be "Mossy Monday", with my Camillus C4....
Because I've been using his Paracord lanyard for something like ten years now, I declare this to be "Tethered Tuesday". ...
You're getting pretty opportunistic with some of your day names, Buzz, and some are a bit of a stretch IMHO, but they're definitely entertaining!!:cool:

Tom, if you keep posting pics like that one, I'm going to start calling you Whet Appetite instead of Whetstone!! That feast should give you the strength to get your orange Pioneer back from that wily woman! :p

Thanks Gary. I don't know what it is but I sure like this one. You're right about no love, after all it's a cap-lifter, right?

Thanks Gary!:thumbsup: Your Stag Peanut is quite a nice Case in its own right!! :)

A 1979 Camillus utility knife.
When I was in the Marines in 79 the supply sergeant for our shop gave these and TL-29s out to everyone, but I didn't care for either at the time and gave mine away.
So when I saw this one on the exchange recently I had to have it for nostalgia's sake.
I like to think this is the one I gave away way back then.
Ya never know....

Thanks GT! I can only take credit for the brat, my lady made everything else. I have had a small victory in convincing her there are other colors she might like, and I am now scouring the internet for a pink, purple or salmon (salmon??!?!?) colored specimen. I think that is the only way my pioneer will achieve freedom.

The Martinez is especially nice, sorry if I have asked this before but are those buffalo scales?
