What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Lots of areas apparently received massive amounts of rain; hope it didn't cause you many problems or damage.
Thanks for the well wishes GT. We're ok here, just kind of a crummy summer (mosquitos are worse than we've had in years). As Harry mentioned it's much worse in parts of southern WI. How's it been by you? I recall from the old site when we saw people's location that you're in SW Michigan? I'll be headed that way next week for a stay with friends on the big lake, just north of St. Joe.

That Kutmaster stockman is one heck of a knife, FBC!:thumbsup:

Thanks for the good word. :) The Colt stag folders that were available a while back really did have some fantastic stag for $20 knives; I should have bought more of them. I never saw any vendor than that Hazy Hilltop Cutlery Factory (or whatever they're called) in Tennessee carry them, and now that the Colt folder brand has gone belly-up, I don't know where to look for them other than auction sites. Hope you can find something!

My peanutish knife for this week is a Case swayback jack (thanks, Paul):

Colt went belly up?! Man, I missed the boat again haha
I am sure there are a few still floating around. It will make it all the more fun hunting one down.
Thank you for the kind words about the Kutmaster. I am really happy with that one, with Kutmaster's version of jigged red bone.

Recycled pic of the sheepsfoot MAM.

Great photo, Will. Did you polish the shield and bolsters?

Thanks very much, it was taken on the rotting entrance way of an old summer house on the 'estate' Too rotten and costly to fix up but makes a nice subject.

Well spotted! I polished the bolsters & shield with a strop loaded with green. Very pleased with the effect as I like the combo of matte blades and polished fittings. Bang goes the re-sale value:D:D

Regards, Will

Back at ya, my friend! Is that celluloid on the IXL?

Edit to add today's carry.

Thanks Kevin, it's a synthetic certainly, has a grain a bit like 'French Ivory' under a glass. Absolutely no shrinkage though. I love the darkness of that ebony my friend

Nice Anchor Knife :)

Thanks for the reply, Jack. I often feel that I'm quite close to Bedlam myself! ;) Your carry is a praiseworthy pair!:thumbsup:

I certainly know that feeling pal! Nice Swayback :)

Very nice Gev :)

Striking pair Gary

Don't know what I did to upset the Internet Fairy, but I'm getting it from her in spades lately :( Been carrying these two today, my anonymous Anchor Knife, and a Croisdale Fruit Knife in ivory
