Great looking pair there my friend

I was very pleased with my black Micarta Zulu so when I saw this style and color combo I was quick to act. The covers may not appeal to all but they're one of my favorite combos:thumbsup:

That certainly appeals to me Paul :)

Sunny and over 100 degrees today, the beer scout may prove handy later this afternoon.

Cheers Tom :)

Thanks, Jack; my Winchester asked me to pass on that it enjoys seeing you and yours! :p
Some dignified dark wood you had for Wooden Wednesday!:cool::thumbsup:
I hope you had a good day in York, and didn't get into trouble impersonating a physician!;)

Thanks a lot pal! :D We had a nice tour of the Castle Museum, and a tasty lunch (with a pint for me ;)), but it rained heavily most of the day, and as I was up at 5.30am to go to the market prior to setting out for York, I'm feeling pretty shattered. I think I'll be having an early night tonight! :)

Then how do you eat grapes? With your hands like a savage?!? :D

I eat my grapes sliced in half, in a very civilized manner, and mixed into my oatmeal. ;)

:D :D

Congrats on your new Eureka, Barrett!:thumbsup:
Your comments on Case medium stockman knives reminded me again of how much individual preferences differ; your objections to existing features are all characteristics that make the knives attractive to me. ;)

I've almost pulled the trigger on various Case stockmen several times. In addition to a punch, I also like a spey blade on a stockman, but as far as I know, in Case's medium-sized stockmen, both the spey and punch options are only available with rounded bolsters (which also happen to have the slimmer clip point I like less than the fuller standard clip). I even made a spreadsheet a while back.

(Now if they made a Texas Jack with round bolsters, I'd join that cult in a heartbeat! :D)

Have you taken a look at the Case Medium Jack? It's closer in size to the Texas Jack than it is the Peanut (Medium Jack: 3 3/8", Texas Jack: 3 5/8", Peanut: 2 7/8"), and it seems very similar to the Texas Jack in just about every way except the rounded bolsters.

Those two are splendiferous, Jack!

Desert Ironwood without appearing to be desert ironwood.
Dare to be different. :)

I think this one is the best of your RRs I've seen, Gary. Could be the great photography though. :)

Northfield Barlow for Knife Thursday! When I was a kid it cooled off on rainy days, for some reason it now gets hotter when it rains...View attachment 737400

Gorgeous knife and a gorgeous photo as usual, Macchina!

I took these two on the trail today. First up, a Case Appaloosa Barlow that was a gift from Dee (GuestWho101). Thanks, Dee!

And second is my current EDC, the 2015 BladeForums CSC double-ended jack.

I have one or two others that are kept for sentimental reasons, but I've managed to whittle down my pocket knives to just these two, which I carry daily (no sheaths/slips - they'll accumulate some honest wear by the time the twins get one each):
- GEC #18 with natural stag covers (serialized #78)
- Victorinox Classic with sterling silver scales (I love how heavy it is for the size)
